No I said IF the price is £8m-15m (depends on the site you quoted), I think the club can find better value elsewhere because English players are overpriced. And we all know Palace fans think £8m is an unrealistic/unacceptable fee for them.

I think palace and Everton have someone in common, we both bloody hate Liverpool, whats quite amusing is we seem to do ok against them, beat them twice this season and stopped them winning the league last year!

Anyhow the mods are cracking down on off topic posts so back to transfers. Can understand how your valuation and ours might not agree. However is there any half decent gossip from your side that the player (even if not the club) favours the deal?

We have a player ourselves, Mirallas, who is rumoured to want to move and the clubs he is likely interested in could well not pay us what we feel is his value. But can be hard to keep a player if they aren't happy.

The fee wont be £8 million.

He is not exactly young really, has had a few moves, and is seen to be a little homesick.

28 with no England caps, and 2 really good prem seasons under his belt.

Not too different to when we got Distin, for around £6 million.

£8 million seems about right....now if he was 5 years younger, then you never know his actual level. We probably know Dann's level....a good prem player.

Dann is not as good as Jagielka for goodness sake. That's why he's 28 and playing for Palace and that's his career high point.

Mrs Dann who was heavily pregnant wasnt happy living in central london (no idea why they moved wanted to move their) she posted on her twitter about this 6 months ago, some folks who know a bit have said Scott missed a fair few days training because of it.

Since then they have moved and he said recently they had settled, he seems happy at Palace, he has talked about plans for next season and also said the dressing room moral is the best he has ever witnessed.

This is my own view but I get the impression than his wife would still prefer to move but he isnt that bothered, I dont think its a situation where he really wouldnt want to stay at Palace next season.

The only weakness is Danns game is he is very slow, it doesnt bother us as we play deep and on the counter but for a team like Everton who push their fullbacks right up I could see him being very exposed, he isnt the best in 1 vs 1 situations but for us he is brilliant and a good threat from set plays.
