Anyone hear anything solid on another striker yet? Feel we need another one to share the load with Romalu especially if he were to pick up an injury and be out for a couple of months

Nothing yet mate apart from a couple of Podolski rumours I think. I reckon that will be the last position we look for and will sneak in a loan for someone.

Sanchez in 26 and was sold for 35m, he's not going to be worth more than that and Barca aren't going to buy him back. Del is 21, has so much potential, won't reach that potential at Barca so by selling him cheap they can add a low buy-back clause so we can develop him for them basically, he can become a star, reach his potential here. Then Barca can sign him back for basically nothing. The positive is we can sign him for cheap but then we would have no say on when he goes and he has no re-sell value because we'll on make a couple of million. I would hate to have a buy clause, would prefer to pay more so there's no clause.

Or...Barca realise he is finished there and just want to get rid.
What's with everyone's fascination with a buy back clause? He is 21. Has shown nothing to indicate he will make it in the first team of the best team in world football.
He is at a crossroad in his career right now.

It's not a fascination it's a worry, there's been multiple reports of it, Barca have used the clause previously and they are a smart club. He's 21, his career has hardly started, he's still got all the potential in the world.

What reports mate? I only read about it from posters in fan sites.
And the only "report" of him coming here is that ludicrous £3m one. I don't recall even that report mentioning a buy back clause.
 
If theres a buy back clause of say £20mil and in 3 years hes rates at £30mil.

A-- Barca activate the clause
B-- Other clubs make £30mil offers
C-- Bids all accepted

Deulofeu can decide where he wants to go or stay with the club. The buyback just means a set fee is in place if they want him back and the player wants to return.

I don't know how reliable THT is..but he is hinting that Deulofeu is done pretty much. And his Toffee TV wrote a rather cryptic tweet earlier saying there will be good news soon
 
I remember everyone was panicking about Rangers having a buy back clause in the Ferguson deal. I actually asked him about it when he did an appearance in a Birkenhead pub After he signed and he was a bit offended. Never spoken to me since the tit. I've never actually met him since so that may be part of the reason but still
