again. i'm failing to actually agree with any of your points. no way was the everton team moyes took over worse than wigan's. they're in league 1 now and have hardly sold a mass of players.

negredo would have been a better buy than lukaku? jesus me.

seems like you can't compliment martinez, everything he's ever achieved has been a fluke. next you'll be saying rodgers was the one who set up swansea because he got them promoted to the prem rather than martinez.

Fact is if Martinez never won that pot he would have NO not one single redeeming feature on his CV. Moyes was negative and wound me up towards the end with his tactics, but he done a hell of alot more in the league with a complete handicap of the board pre TV money.

That everton side had pap like pistone, Li tie, naysmith etc. You arguing those players are better than Diame, McCarthy, Mcmananam etc

72 points and a Europa League place is not a redeeming quality?

I'm a little disturbed that Everton seemingly agreed to stage an open training session for Spurs at Goodison today, because it appeared at times like they were toying with us.

We showed precious little urgency, precious little desire, precious little control, precious little positive intent and to me, even though it's been a woefully sub par season, today was less than acceptable for Everton Football Club.

The (only) big plusses today were undoubtedly Galloway and Stones.

The booing at half time, full time and when the manager was announced on the lap of appreciation kinda spoke volumes to me that patience is beginning to wear thin.

I've renewed my STs for next season, but as I've said in other threads previously, I honestly think we'll know as early as the end of September if the manager truly has the wherewithal to bring back the level of performance of last season and restore faith in his tenure.

you've listed 3 of wigan's best players vs 3 of everton's worst. that's enough to go against your argument in itself. take away martinez's FA Cup as if it didn't happen - fine. both have still won a league 1 appiece and moyes has had a hell of a lot more years as a manager and spent a hell of a lot more money.

Did that really happen? I didn't want Martinez in the first place and I have no faith in him as our manager whatsoever, but I'm not sure booing him is helpful.

I understand that Evertonians are frustrated after a woeful season and are rightfully peed off, but booing the manager on the "lap of appreciation" isn't on really.

To be fair, the booing of Martinez was nothing like universal, but there was some and it would/should have registered... Some of the fans are unhappy with the backward steps the team has taken this season and indeed the backward direction the club seems to taking.

Does anyone from Kenwright down the pecking order give a fck, because if they do they have fooled me, and how does a manager fail so many times to get a team motivated ?
Most of that team today were'nt arsed, and I would be surprised if any of them came of with a wet shirt, I am absolutely dreading next Season, over to you Martinez please ,please prove me wrong, you have left yourself with one hell of a job.

Very true, he has a massive, massive job to do in the close season. We need something of a clear out and some fresh blood in... and all done early so pre-season can be used effectively.
