The relegation run in

Now you don't have to look behind you who do you think stands the best chance of survival and who is destined to the doldrums of the Championship?

It looks like it's between 5 teams

Leicester
Burnley
QPR
Hull
Sunderland

Ourselves and Burnley have the 'favourable' run in but anything can happen at this stage (just look at Sunderland last season)

Looking at Hull's remaining games I'd say they look dead and buried. West brom and Villa look like they have done enough.

Our key games are

Swansea (H)
Burnley (A)
Newcastle (H)
Sunderland (A) huge game
QPR (H) last game of the season.

Thoughts?

I can only hope Leicester get pumped in every game they ever play. Ever.

I think we have to beat Villa for them to still be in with a chance of going down. They've made it through a tough run of games recently and got more points than expected. 3 out of 4 at home left for them with us and Southampton being the only top half teams left. It'd need a big effort from Sunderland to drag them down. Here's hoping like.

I'm still holding a bit of hope that Sunderland, villa, Leicester and hull can get it together and all get to 36. Newcastle dont look like winning another point this season and I'd say they deserve to go down more than any of the others. They would struggle to stay in the championship on current form.

In a dream world it'd be QPR Villa Newcastle. But the way Sunderland fans treated me this season i'd happily see them drop too.

I think it'll be Burnley/QPR/Sunderland though

......it's difficult and I wouldn't wish this on anybody (with one exception), only thing I would add is that a team you often think are getting out of it can just as quickly fall back in. Villa are said to be in a roll but are one of a number of teams you could throw a blanket over. I'm interested in how they approach and react in our game at the weekend, they will surely be nervy and that's something we could exploit.

Just glad it's not us desperate for the points.

Not only will they be nervy but they're in desperate need of 3 points and simply have to take the game to us, attack us. That plays perfectly in our hands as a counter attacking unit and where we are most dangerous.

It could very well end up in tears for Villa this weekend. A real mopping of the brow stuff.

You make a very good point. I was thinking last night after the Hull result that Villa would be even more desperate for a win this weekend and that would work against us, but as you say they'll be going all out for attack - which suits our style of play.
