Occasionally BBC text is rather entertaining.

"The scoreline was not the only depressing stat from the evening for Reds fans.

Their specialist strikers (Daniel Sturridge, Mario Balotelli, Rickie Lambert and Fabio Borini) have scored eight Premier League goals between them this season. Everton's back four (Leighton Baines, Seamus Coleman, Phil Jagielka and John Stones) have scored nine."

Soz if its been posted before.

It has, but is such a good stat and a good laugh that it should be repeated many times..........

They must be one of the few clubs paying champions league wages despite not being in it. Sturridge is over 100k a week, as will be Sterling, as is Henderson. Any half decent player they buy will want parity. All we'll see this summer is more good senior players leaving to free up the wage bill Skrtel Lucas Gerrard Johnson (ok so not all good), and new younger potential players being brought in in low wages in the hope FSG can sell them in a few years time. Thank you FSG for 'stabilising' the wreck of a club you inherited firmly in midtable.

I love how that guy assumes United will lose away to Palace but a week later Libpwel will beat them at the same ground.

Had he not watched the recent Palace v Liverpool games?

Anyway it's a moot point now! lol

That article is like something one would expect a deluded Kopite to write on RAWK.

Full of wishful thinking and three quarter full glasses.

Terrible that stuff like that is taking up space on a serious national newspaper.

I think B-Rod will still bee managing there next season, any replacement is going to be asking for mega bucks for transfers,
your looking at needing to replace at least half a team to be challenging the CL places, hats if you can get any A list players to sign
in the first place
All the teams above are going to strengthen plus Spurs,Southampton, and ourselves, add in the Europa league games and they are
going to be struggling for a top 7 placing

Rodgers: Liverpool FC must target 'marquee' players - we got what we deserved tonight
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/rodgers-liverpool-fc-must-target-9141049#rlabs=1

Brendan Rodgers is excelling himself at the moment even surpassing his usual Stanley Unwin garbled quotes...the RS circus will seemingly be requiring even more marquees to house their close season strikers though, hes not sure how many.

“But it is just having that reference, or two or three references, at the top end of the field. That gives the other players confidence and movement to create opportunities.
And he reiterated that here, stating that he would ideally like the club to target “marquee” players in the transfer market.
“For supporters, and for players themselves, it is always great if you can get in those marquee players that can really help you,” he said.
And I think we can see that that's the type, maybe the one or two players, that we need.
If they are attainable, and affordable within the model, the club will do everything they can to get them.”
“You can't hide away from the fact that we've lost over 50 goals, and any team that loses that is going to struggle.
“With Suarez and Sturridge last season, we still weren't tipped to be in the top four, we were still written off! Now, without them, the challenge is even greater for us

So that's how they ended up spunking £20 million on dat dere Lazer Marqueevitch.

A few years ago on youtube there used to be this bellend of a Liverpool fan who'd do match reports. He had a guitar and would occasionally sing on it too. I can't remember his name. It was around the Hogdson era and he hated Ryan Babel. Does anyone know if he is still knocking around making videos anywhere and have a link to his youtube page? I remember after one derby we beat them he even snarled at "the blueshite fans who like watching his videos to laugh at him". He was a bit of a hero in our house.
