"So, have I got this right: I give you £250M, and you give me the square root of **** all?"

I see Rodgers is still jangling away in various papers about how they can win the League next season and that the disappointment of being also rans again shows how far hes brought the club forward......
"When I came in here it was a long way off. The club was eighth and you’d never have even talked about it." .............and pointing at other clubs larger transfer funds as the reason for their failure.........
“It is difficult, but you can’t just accept it. I think it’s something you have to continue to fight.
"Where we are at now is probably par for where we sit in amongst it – but we can’t accept that. We have to continue to find ways to develop players and find a way to break that. "

The smorgasbord of RS self delusion is enhanced by the garnish that is good ole sound as a pound Aldo, La in today's Anfield Bugle...who is adamant that....
"Whoever the manager, whoever is in charge of the signings. we just don’t buy well enough, and it costs us dearly.
Look at this season, for example. How much different would our campaign have been had we got our business right last summer? How much different would it be had we had signed Alexis Sanchez?
We held all the cards with that one. We had Luis Suarez, and Barcelona wanted him. Suarez should not have been allowed to join Barcelona until Sanchez was signed on at Anfield.
If we’d have done that deal, our season would have been very different. And so would Arsenal’s."

I dont know about holding all the cards...busted flush more like. One player away from glory then....apart from the fact that Sanchez held out and didn't want to join them. Suarez's price was being chipped away so they had to let him go since no other club wanted to take him and his biting baggage on just after the WC when his reputation was universally rock bottom... apart of course from in the RS Hall of Mirrors.

Thought you'd appreciate this.

Seems the RS are planning a ticket price protest at the Hull game tonight, because it's costing £50 for away fans which prompted this on BBC rolling sports news

Rick Kay: If Hull are charging £50 for the Liverpool game, how much do they charge to fans of big clubs?

Anyone volunteer what our fans paid at our Hull game.

It's only £15 more than last season's price. When you factor in they also have to pay for a hotel, rail fare to Hull and return plane tickets to Oslo, why are they so worked up about an extra £15 ?

Whether its Liverpool or anyone else, the price of away tickets at aways is dreadful. Like we take the mick out of everyone else, but if you follow a team which means every away is a grade A, then it must get on your nerves after a while.

they were a top 4 side last year therefore it's a Band A game, I imagine last year it was only Band B.
personally if I was a Hull fan I'd want a price reduction whenever that poop played against us.

Premier League Prices - Liverpool FC

The 'protest' against being charged £50 to see LFC at Hull, is an absolute sham organised by a bunch of hypocrites. Hull fans had to pay £47 and £49 to see their team at Anfield. This Saturday QPR fans will have paid £47 and £49 to see their team at Anfield.

Have those 'protesting' against 'the cost of away tickets', got in contact with QPR fans to organise a joint protest against the price away fans are paying at Anfield? No.

Have they been walking arm in arm with away fans all season at Anfield demanding that FSG lower prices for away fans at Anfield? No.

Ticket prices are diabolical but the old adage, 'put your own house in order before you start giving me advice.' has never been more pertinent.

Or has their 'protest' got anything to do with them thinking that they wouldn't have sold out their allocation. And therefore would have looked like a 'small time' club when they sent tickets back to Hull?

Edit. Hull fans did pay £43 and £41.

43 and 41 judging by your graphic for the Anny Road, but I get your drift. The problem is across the board now, getting ridiculous.

Personally think any protest against ticket prices in the Prem should be supported by any team, despite who leads it. If I recall didn't Newcastle only have to pay£20 for the away game against us because of a similar campaign?

Are (cheap seats) ticket prices to PL games north of 40 quid??...that's like 80 NZ dollars...that is outrageous. When I lived in England (1984-87) and followed Everton all round the country, I think prices were about 3 quid. Assuming an average 5% annual inflation rate, tickets 30 years later should be about 13 quid (ie 3*(1+.05)^30)
