is an away leg of a last 16 Europa League tie which we have a slender lead in REALLY the best time to be lobbing a player on from to the start to see if he can hack it of not?
It's either play with him as a winger or have Osman and Naismith as the wingers, couldn't deal with that

I would not be surprised if we signed both...at the right price.
Lennon offers real pace and certainly works hard enough for the team. The penalty earned against Newcastle was a factor of both of those attributes and Spurs supporters acknowledge that he always gives his best in a game. A top team must have players with different attributes and we have no one that offers the blistering pace of Lennon. Defenders will always have a problem facing a player with real pace. I think a fee of 4-5m may be a more realistic fee, moreso if the player is pushing for a move to Everton.

Atsu is still an unknown, but we have seen glimpses of a really good player on occasions. I agree that he has no future at Chelsea and will leave there this summer. Has he shown enough on the training fields at Everton to entice the club to sign him on a permanent basis. Maybe tonight will tell us more about that. Mirallas injured, Lennon cuptied, McGeady just coming back from injury if Atsu doesn't start tonight then he has no chance of an Everton future.

I think all of that is true. In all likelihood we will lose Mirallas this summer as well as Peinaar. I agree we will haggle the price of Lennon down, possibly even lower than 4 million. At that price it would be a sensible signing and similar to the McGeedy as you "know what you are getting" from him.

Atsu is more interesting. In all honesty he has been poor compared to Deulufeu last season. Having said that he is getting better and growing in confidence. Ideally another season long loan would suit us. I can also see us loaning some like Traore or Muniz (I think) from Barcalona. In doing this, we may have 5 million pounds to sign a centre half.

Created a bio specifically to jump on this topic; i'm ridiculously curious as to why a guy who shone so brightly at the World Cup is struggling with yourselves this season? Not an Everton fan so if anyone can enlighten me that'd be great!

I don't think he'll start to be honest, it's to big a game and he's not even been getting starts against lesser opponents. Tonight's to important to throw him in from the begining seeing as he's very inexperienced and it will be a tough game in an imposing environment.

Also I can't see us starting with all guns blazing seeing as a draw is good enough.

That would be naive from us though I think. We're not very good at holding onto a lead and if they get just 1 goal first they can sit back and we'll have to break them down. We're only good at breaking down teams who are attacking us. So really I think we should go all out and try to get a goal, then we are firmly in the driving seat and can pick them off on the counter. Which is where Atsu would be quite useful, as the 3rd goal against Newcastle showed.
