... well, they can (underestimate its importance), but they shouldn't. Similarly, nor should we underestimate the opposition, they will be a very tough proposition. But nor should we overestimate their quality, since this might make us too defensive/reactive.
I can not overstate how important getting this 'right' balance is.
Conversely, I can easily understate the same.
