I was banned for a week for even less, Joey.

These threads are very emotional because the survival of our club is a very emotive subject.

IMO the mods are quite right in recognising this and tolerating more robust exchanges than they would on normal threads.

I have to be honest.

This community is helping me get through these desperste days and ti be quite frank, I have seen bugger all from any antagonist on either side which is out if order.

We need to vent.

And if being called a "kopite" or a "slug" is the worst name a fellow is ever called then he is a very lucky chap.

But in between the angst and the recriminations there are some very intelligent points being made by boys from both the pro and anti lobbies.

Me?

I vacillate from day to day......from hour to hour.

Like most of us on here, I suspect.

It matters deeply to every single one of us and I would be very disappointed if some of our friends were less passionate about it than they are.

It is desperate days and tempers will fray.

I think Roberto is the right man at the right club, let's be honest here gents the football last season was a joy to watch and he took us places we hadn't been for decades.

The man deserves and needs our support now more than ever - second season syndrome happens to managers too. I firmly believe that he can and ride this tough spell out ( we will beat both Newcastle and QPR - I'd put my mortgage on it) and we can push on in Europe. Maybe we won't win it but the prestige of getting to the quarters or semis or even final is priceless.

Next season he will win a trophy at Everton. I've got no doubts.

This is a club that SHOULD be playing attractive football and winning honours and given time we will get back there.

Think to this time last year and how good it was. Your only a top class manager when you've experienced the tough times and come through them.

Stoke boxing day for me. Yes they got lucky with the pen, but We hadabsolutely no idea how to break them down, Stokes defence didn't have to get out of first gear to win at Goodison, we didn't create a thing second half.

I went down to Goodison today to get mine and my son's Kiev tickets ( regardless of form, how crap we currently are it's impossible to stop lol ) and I can report Martinez wasn't there so I couldn't give him my pearls of wisdom unfortunately and tell him what he needs to sort out.
