On your other (substantive) point: I'm asking you how you can base the whole of your critique of Martinez on this issue of lack of flexibility. He's mixed it up (possession based and also counter attacking when it fits...as in Europe); he's gone 343/433/4231; he's changed the personnel about...what are you saying isn't flexible in all that? You're dealing in abstractions with all this 'he needs to change...and he needs to change now'. It's a laughable caricature.

Maybe some of your mates in the media can explain it to you.

Yes, you argue your point mate, and well to a degree, and as I've said, some of it I totally get. But you jump, and criticise when one view happens to oppose your own...

Rich though, coming from a seemingly a chronic onanist who's blinded by the hope that we have a great manager for whom everything is currently as he wishes and working out jussssst groovy. It isn't. What are you seeing that others aren't? You're using the argument that he's mixed it all up already. Stunning. What's it achieved then? Thus it's a player issue? So why's that?

I asked you, the 3 games down the line scenario, what if? Really, what if?

And please don't suggest you're unwilling to answer a 'what if' because your ENTIRE argument is based on the same.

Oh, and respectfully, I used the phrase self-importance as you keep referencing how much you're looking forward to being 'proved right' etc after the NU game? Y'know, when we crawl back under stones etc. Back-slapping, self-importance, it runs on...

BTW, the KOPITE behaviour thing....an example of which, in my experience, is their ability to defend the undefensable. Which is EXACTLY what you're doing, as you yourself have said I believe, facts/figures etc...


That said, it's Friday, go have a Gin while I telephone some old media chums to explain the essence of being 'blinkered' to me.

And yet Stupid is aiming downwards... our current direction of travel... stick or twist?
 

In my heart I hope we beat Newcastle, in my head I know it will be a different story. Martinez will not have any change to his side and his philosophy. He will stand on the touchline looking bewildered, `why doesnt the other team play like I want them to play` .... the confusion is visible on his face. If we lose we will be treated to a masterclass in `positive thinking` he should write a book on this subject ... the players who want out will not hang around and shoot straight down the tunnel, after struggling with 90 minutes of pass and 90% possession football. The pressure will just mount and mount! Lets hope we win for Everton FC`s sake
