I love Seamus but he's been pretty woeful this season.

Fear's contagious and the devil may care attitude of last season has been replaced with fear. Coleman's still ace, but he needs someone to reinstil the belief in him. In all walks of life, good management will make their people believe in themselves. If the fear's coming down from the top, then Martinez needs to sort himself out and start to reinstil the confidence in the likes of Coleman.

Management is easy when things are going well. The real test is how you can manage people when it's turning to crap.

as well as confidence, he's been poor this season because he's had two men attacking him in defence and the when attacking because we're so narrow he has the same two players doubling up on him. we need to play wingers to drag a man with them and create more space and opportunities for the full backs.

think martinez has based on last season that because they're so attacking, he can get rid of the wingers because they'll get in the way. only possible reason for the way we play.

Wait till he leaves for Chelsea and rips the league to shreds with a decent winger infront of him. No coincidence he smashed it with Kev as a partner last year. Every time he looks up he has to try to take on the opposition winger AND fullback. Does no one notice this? Coleman's a gem, and it's only the shift to playing with no wingers that has led to his demise.

Spot on, mate. He's been left to play that side by himself for the majority of the season.

Martinez was lucky enough to stumble upon our brilliant full back play when he got here, how times change.

I know he's great going forward (or used to be), but now we're completely incompetent in possession the amount of times Stones and Jagielka are stretched because Coleman's in the opposition half when we get countered is worrying. Stones is playing in two positions every time we defend.

Might as well tell him to sit back in that case. His defensive work has been sound this season.

The main reason we look stretched is having Barry lumbering round midfield covering for our attacking full backs. He gets absolutely nowhere, and honestly we might as well be playing with 10 given all he offers.

Maybe Martinez should. It's been fine when he's there.

You're right, though, Barry's a bigger problem.

Martinez has destroyed him. Proved over 2 seasons he was the best right back in the league, now he looks like one of the worst. Moyes left Baines and Coleman probably Europe's best pairing and Martinez has nullified both of them.

I reckon there'll be a few looking to move on and revive their career in the summer.

Agents can just tell them to let it be known in the media that the club can't match their ambition and then so the process starts.

If the price is right might not be the worst thing. Just as long as we keep stones, hes the third coming of christ
