We don't play football properly.

We are different to every other team I can think of. And not in a good way.

We play weirdly. And it's not working.
This is a very good point. Forget results for a moment we all know they're disgraceful, but does anyone actually enjoy watching us play?

It's the most boring turgid dross imaginable and it's a big effort to pay good money and get to the games.

Even if he turns things around in terms of getting results, I'm not sure I can stomach watching his brand of football long term, I really don't enjoy it.

It's diabolical whats happened here. Some people have gone after Martinez since day one. This is nirvana for them.

I hope to **** this is as good as it gets for them. What horrible hate filled lives they must have.

You are being utterly ridiculous. How dare you make out this is some kind of personal vendetta, or even a knee jerk reaction.

Our form is terrible.
Our points tally is terrible.
The manager shows no signs at all of being able to turn this around in the league. 1 win in 12 games!!!!

Of the last 23 league games where we haven't scored in the first half, we have failed to win. W0 D11 L12. That tells me his half time motivational team talking ability is non existent.

There are so many worrying stats that point to us at the very least being in a major relegation battle and worst going down.
28 points after 28 games - the same Newcastle had when they went down in 2009.
A record that is our lowest after 28 games for 88 seasons.

Even when Moyes had his worst season in 2003/2004, we had 32 points after 28 games.

It is not a matter about being disloyal. It is about recognising that this manager does not have what it takes to turn us around. The evidence is there right before your very eyes. The list of disasters on the road this season, not just games we have lost but games we have put shocking performances in and been embarrassed by 'lesser' teams: Stoke home and away, Hull home and away, Leicester home and away, Crystal Palace at home. We are getting embarrassed by poor teams.

The manager does not learn from his mistakes. His tactics do not work with these set of players. He is far too stubborn, too stuck on his own 'philosphophy'. We need to win games. If we go down it will be one of the biggest disgraces ever, and will purely be because of bad management.

I backed him to a hilt - until tonight. Tonight was the final straw for me and clearly for a lot of blues.

I just watch other teams and think 'we don't do that. We used to, but don't now'. And I daren't even say the team's I've seen do the things!

He's irrational and been clutching at straws for a while now

Straws? Straw more like, he has been clutching at the same one every week.

I think he should go now, one could at least give him time if he was trying different things but it is the same stuff every match and will be for the next ten if he stays - which means we will go down. Who to replace him is the big question though, Royle hasnt done anything significant for a decade, Ferguson has zero experience (and it is perhaps worth noting that since he has been a coach our form has gone downhill) and there are no former players to walk in and turn things round.

Sad to say, as he really seems like a good guy and all, but I think he's got to go. Club has to come first. We need someone to keep a tight butthole and claw our way through these last 10 games. Keeping him is seriously risking going down. Today was sickening.

Why Mirallas? I think he's having a decent a season. If he's taking the piss out of the club then God knows what the rest of them are doing.

He is, just his general attitude really. He hits a free kick over the bar and appeared to shrug it off and argue with someone having a go at him.

That was one of the most lifeless displays I've seen an Everton side put in. We weren't hammered or outplayed, but there was an inevitability about it. Lukaku seems unable to hold balls up knocked into him. Kone gave one ball away from a pass and just kept strolling on. There seems to be an acceptance of mediocrity running through the players.

The one who can hold their head up high is McCarthy. I don't think I've ever seen as stark a contrast with one player to the rest of the team as him. He fights, runs, tackles etc while others around him don't do the basics right. Lukaku's lay off for their second goal is just appalling and a complete lack of care.

I lost faith in him last November. There were red flags starting to appear before pre-season. Whilst other managers were returning to work and getting down to business, he was off somewhere doing punditry work. Pre-season was disjointed and I wasn't surprised.

The Chelsea game at home was a big red flag. Everton just don't concede 6 goals at home to anyone. Regardless of that game, September was a good month in terms of results both in the league and in Europe. I think the Spurs game away (2:1) followed by Hull home (1:1) was the moment I suspected something was seriously wrong. It was the body language of the players.

Since then it is apparent to me that he has lost the players. The biggest indicator is the difference in our Europa games. The players are up for those games and turning in performances that they should be crafting in the league as well.

In a nutshell, this squad should be challenging for top 4. Our Europa performances justify that. The fact that we are languishing with the perennial relegation fodder speaks volumes as the relationship between the players and manager.

We have 11 days until our next league game, we wont get a better chance to sack him, give someone a week + to work with the team.

Yep and don't forget the players know this too...many of them have been around, played under different managers etc. The experienced ones know deep down.

You're spot on about those two games. The Spurs one especially came at a time when we all thought a good run was just around the corner.
