Has Baines really been that good though? That defence has shipped fewer goals than Evertons.. I think McCarthy might be better in a deeper role but as a box to box, not so sure.

Baines has been a shadow of himself but even on his bad days hes 10x the player of any of there left backs, Oviedos better too

I don't know, I think there might be some tinted glasses at work here. Looking at guys like MoutsGoat you'd think Evertons squad, man for man, is rivalled only by Bayern, Barca, Madrid and the likes..

moreno can't defend, hence why he's being employed as a winger instead of a full back. there is no way in hell he is better than baines, regardless of how under-par baines has been this season.

game ended 4-4, should probably produce more pitches like that, would be better entertainment than some of the stuff we see in the prem. love the fact the forst boss said "can we play you on the beach" as well.

I can't speak for my fellow Palace fan, but personally, it would sicken me to have to listen to a modern day version of "The Mathews Final" eg poor little Stevie, who has given so much......deserves this more than anybody.......fitting end to a glittering career......for weeks, and weeks, and weeks from the RS dominated media.

personally i prefer the terms slipped and cost himself the only chance of a league title and worst england captain ever.

i'd love us to go for benteke in the summer, i would happily see him not score again this season and villa go down if it means we can get him on the snip. his stock is at it's lowest it ever will be atm.
