Recent decisions and events need to take into account the context of the situation we find ourselves in, obviously this affects decision making. You don´t allow above for the fact that things happening now will not necessarily be what will happen if we get to better times again under him, and were not necessarily happening last season under him.
You mention refusal to change and then also mention him making decisions in favour of "a less fancied but winning formula". Contradicting yourself.
Alcaraz for Besic seemed to me to be tactical to change the shape and try something different. Its possible this led directly to Colemans big chance at the end. Calling a midfielder off for a defender substitution automatically negative is just silly. Its not as simplistic as that.
You mention the usual "moyes would be lynched for that"....failing to note that Moyes was criticised for these things because many people had enough after YEARS of that stuff. This manager has had just over a season and a half only, and one was a very very good one.
It doesn´t take Messi and Xavi and others to play a decent passing game. I´m sorry but this is just an extreme comment made to try put your point through. Theres lots of levels between Messi and Tony Hibbert when it comes to footballing ability and some of our players are decent enough on that scale.
Having said all that, basically
@chicoazul is right with his first response to the post.
I´m going to repeat myself again and preach patience. Something most football fans lack IMO.
We are not going to explode and disappear under this manager, so lets just wait and see. If ultimately it doesn´t work, then on to the next man. he shouldn´t get all the credit for last season, and he shouldnt get all the stick for this.
