Liverpool are going to utterly utterly wipe the floor with us I can't see any other outcome.

They are bang in form, they won again last night.

Players playing really well, there striker Sturridge has returned to fitness,

It's Stevie ggggggggggs last derby (just ask sky)

and we haven't beaten them at home in 5 years...... Hiding here we come.
If we don't play the right team you could be right.

.
I'd go in unchanged. I'd still start Naisy over Barkley, this is a Naisy game, his passion, leadership, toughness and ability to make something out of nothing or snatch a goal are exactly what we need.

McCarthy won't be up to starting, neither Lennon would like both to still get a decent stint on the pitch though.

If Howard is back to fitness I'd still go Joel over him too.
Howard is a week away.

I can't stand the fact that they are making this derby all about Gerrard, wouldn't it be great if he got injured in the first minute and out for the rest of the season.

I hear what you are saying but, it would be nice to go at them with them guessing just how we will play. If we stuck to the standard formation they'd have us sussed before kick-off. Throw on a pacy winger with something to prove, the lift it gives the lads and the ability it gives us to move other players to their stronger positions is a good move IMO.

Agreed it could all back fire though.....
However the last thing we need is for him to try some trick like Lukaku on the right and Naismith as a false 9 that worked the first time and hasn't since because it's a trick and now other teams are aware of it.

Coutinho vs Barry, lol..
Coutinho is crap to be honest, just because he had a good game (actually, did he?) against Bolton Wanderers at the second attempt doesn't make him a decent player, despite what his manager says. I'm more worried about Gerrard, who we all claimed was finished about five years ago, getting another hat trick.

I rate Coutinho, skillful player (just can't finish)...
Gerrard will definitely be up for this game (last Derby will want to put a stamp on it) we've just gotta be ready.

Watch out ,watch out Mo is about..i hope he snaps the horrible cxxt in half i.e..legally though you know ball first.C.O.Y.B.

Well, this whole game is a mismatch, according to you, matty, so why would Barry make any difference?

We've been underachieving all season and have nothing to lose by trying something a bit different. McCarthy
and Besic together in front of the back four hasn't been tried, yet. Could be the start of a long and productive
partnership. Who knows?

Because he's more experienced than besic and McCarthy

That's right hes always fired up for Goodison and you can maybe double that for Saturday given its his last appearance here. Be handy if, as hes shown in the past, he'll be that gung-ho he'll get a yellow early on and will be subdued in case he gets another and offski in his last game against us. That's if the ref has the balls or no option to do it in the first place given its the Gerrard Farewell Derby as per the Sky circus.
