I think this is hurting a bit more than other times because I genuinely believed that our days scrapping in the relegation zone were over

Back in the 90's and early 00's, having a decent season followed by a catastrophic collapse the next one was pretty common, so I'd kind of got used to it. More recently, we've been at least mid table

Say what you want about Moyes, but he at least put an end to us seemingly always being a string of bad results away from dropping into the myre

Look the way i look at it is this.

So what if we dont ever win the league or challenge up there? That is not what football is about. We turn up every season and aim to win the league, whether we do or dont is irelevant. We support everton not glory hunt them. We will win trophies again and perhaps we will win the league again.

Only kopites think that football starts and ends with trophies. We support the club whether we are winning things or not.

No he didn't. He had us in this situation four times in 11 seasons.

This will eventually happen as will Stones leaving and Coleman and McCarthy.

We have missed the boat folks, No rich Russian's or Billionaires will save us, because we are not for sale. And even if we did get sold who know's how it would turn out anyway's.

I think you'll regret this self-pitying obituary in a couple of days. Everton are crap at the moment, but you're clearly still bothered. There's more clubs who don't even get to pull gently on the top tablesheet, let alone dine with the best. I started supporting Everton long after their last trophy success and I'd love to see us winning something, but it's very near the bottom of the list of reasons I support them, and will remain there regardless of our fluctuating fortunes.

I'm 26. We've never 'dined at the top table' since I was old enough to understand football. Right now we are super gash and frustrating but I'll always be an Evertonian, I couldn't imagine even going to another clubs match.

I got into a bit of trouble at work for completely humiliating a senior manager.

United fan from down south, was having a pop about us, he never goes to Old Trafford.
Constantly having a pop about us and why I support sh*te like that, now he is a larger man, and not that good at his job.
He had an audience so what giving it the big one, as with many office jobs, ppl suck up to him and never give him any back.

I snapped one day and said "If everyone had the same fickle outlook as you.....YOU would be single, Unemployed and abandoned by your family"

Felt like the whole canteen was falling about laughing looking at him....he was not pleased!!!
