I know. Not my cup of tea. But it's far from a shocking selection.

It should be good enough IF they want it enough.
The players selected would have given nobody cause for panic last year, but with the form some of them are in and the lack of width that comes with playing both Naismith and Barkley, which we've seen time and again, people have lost confidence in what is still a very good group of players.

We could play a Mike Bassett 442 and that'd still be true. Problem is you have a manager saying we need to go back to basics, then selects a side that will include at least one, but probably two or three out of position, just to shoehorn players in. That's why it's shocking to me on paper, as I genuinely thought he'd go with a common sense team and look to find a bit of fluency.
