Keepers can take whole seasons to find their feet, just look at De Gea. He's not suddenly going to look confident after 2 games. I said this ages ago, it wont be till RM sticks with him week in, week out we will see if he's actually good enough for Everton

I wasn't slagging him off mate, it was totally understandable. Even if he cost us 5 goals yesterday I would like him to have a run of games. Like you said, De Gea looked a dreadful keeper but they have persisted with him and he's probably won Utd 10 points already this season. Robles showed his natural ability with the save he made early 2nd half. He just needs to catch the bloody round thing when crosses come in and that will make me feel a whole lot better

From my limited knowledge of goalkeeping they seem to punch the ball rather than catch it more frequently when they are low on confidence which I also mentioned in my original post.

1000 minutes is a trivial amount for a goalkeeper, especially since none of it has been in consecutive games. Given Howard's performances this season, including punches out that have resulted in a goal like against Spurs, just not sure why you are so keen to complain about Robles.

In fairness to Robles,I don't think Tim would have made a jot of difference at Newcastle,he's another who has had a very poor season.

So because he played one and half games together a year ago he should now be perfect in his first league start since?

As I said, I have my doubts on him but with the sort of standard you are suggesting no young goalkeeper would ever make it.
