There must be a reason we get all these hamstrings yet Chelsea don't.

Even their players who have dodgy ones like Costa play pretty much every game.

I think they just make out that costa's hamstring is worst than it is,he seems to be a doubt every single game with hamstring problems lol, playing mind games

I don't know. He had trouble with them at the end of last season and the world cup. But yea Mourinho might have been using it to deflect.

Love how Bobby eased off on the players, giving them a relaxed pre-season with a view to maximising fitness in the long run...

Only for Barkley to get injured the night before kickoff and us not look back since, with injuries to previously perennially fit stalwarts like Baines, Barry, McCarthy and Coleman. Anyone who dares to hit form -- Mirallas, Stones, Baines -- is quickly attacked by the demonic spirit haunting the club.

Meanwhile, Osman, Hibbert, McGeady and most of the players not really playing too well are fit as a fiddle. Kone aside, obviously.

This season is really taking the piss. I'm just waiting for Lukaku to do his hamstring now, after looking like he's finally hitting some form.

You're suggesting that Everton, Arsenal and United, three of the biggest clubs in the country which all have a long injury list, employ top level scientists who don't know what overtraining is?

Don't buy that, myself. It's mostly just luck IMO.

Chelsea are one of the few English clubs that seem to consistently juggle European and league games without many injuries according to this table on RedCafe

"I'm not sure if and where Physioroom do hours lost to injury int he current season, but I think we can be pretty confident us and Arsenal would be up the top.As I've never seen anybody sum the last few seasons for the big clubs, I thought it would be worth doing. It's actually incredible how consistently us and Arsenal beat the others hands down:

I wonder if it has anything to do with a change of staff over the summer, we lost that Steve Tardasian (spelling?) so who ever the new guy is may have a bot to answer for, recently even someone as stubborn as Wenger sacked his long term muscle specialist to get in the German national squad one.

No idea how much they train but one of the pundits on sports Saturday said that Mourinho didn't over train his players and as a result they had little to no injuries.

We have a lot so I thought it was a valid question to ask.

McCarthy and Barry are the frustrating ones. It was playing these two when they carried injuries into matches that's done for them.
