"Still cannot understand Gerard role in the team. Why playing in front of the the central defenders? To improve the defense? this is the worst defense we have seen..."

Here we go:

THAT'S A FOUL!!!

BANG OUT OF ORDER. NOT 'AVIN THAT.

£16 million for Balotelli.

They were lauding it as fantastic when he signed in the summer. lol :bye:

Would be amazed if our full backs didnt have a better goals and assists record this season than their forwards. Combined.

Which if true, is astonishing.

Thing is, even if FSG sack Rodgers their understanding of football is so limited they could easily make the situation worse.
Martinez knocked them back due to interference from directors above, so they employed Brendan based on a nice 180 page document he made in Word. They paid 20m for Downing based on a fake video and Lovren because he knew all the words to YAWN.

Wednesday will be very interesting.

RAWK

I thought with all this negativity and doom and gloom we needed a thread to highlight the good things about the club which people always overlook.
Call this a negative antidote thread

We are all fortunate to support one of the greatest and most respected Football Clubs in the World, we have a history of success that only one other English Team comes close too. We have won more European/CL cups than any other UK team and except for a couple of massive clubs most of Europe as well.

We have seen legends on our pitch and are still seeing Legends and undoubtedly Legends in waiting on our pitch. We are financially secure which given the recent years people need to acknowledge more often, we have never been relegated or even close to being relegated for any length of time since the wonderful Mr Shankly got us promoted.

We have one of the youngest squads in the league and we have marvelous talent like Rossiter coming through the academy. We are still in with a shout of top four this season (although some think the prem ended in October it seems).

We don't need plastic flags handing out to our fans to show their support, we have without a doubt still some of the best fans in football, we have a decent ground full of Silverware and History, we are not changing Managers every month like one or two clubs , with some obvious exceptions our fanbase is intelligent and positive in its outlook, they just don't shout about it thats all.

We expect the best we have high expectations but we generally also understand the bigger picture and look longer term at our progress and temper our expectations with some logical conclusions.

In the end though we support Liverpool Football Club and nobody else has that gift given to them, we should cherish this privilege to be a part of this great club and look up and maybe catch a glimpse of that Golden Sky more often.

Some of you will get where i am coming from with this thread i hope, some others won't but perhaps they don't really understand how lucky they are to be a part of this club anyway.

...posting pictures of the new recruits on Facebook hailing him a transfer genius and saying how good the window was in comparison to the Hodgson era.

Never has there been a more apt descriptor - DELUDED.

But he was wanted by all the top clubs in Europe.

“Lovren was a guy sought after by a number of clubs but for him to say he only wanted to come to Liverpool was great,” Rodgers added.

I see Mr lever is still on blame mode.

“We concede a throw-in which shouldn’t happen and then the third goal, a long ball down the middle and I didn’t think it was a free-kick. Both were holding each other’s shirts".

So LFC lose because they concede a throw in. Hahaha, what a buffoon Mr Clever really is.
There was a lot of people singing Lovren's praises in the summer. It looked very premature to me at the time. He did nothing in France and he was hit and miss for S'ton, despite all the stats suggesting he was destined for greatness. Not for the first time has hype around a player massively inflated their fee. Honest to God, they must piss themselves laughing abroad seeing clubs over here paying a king's ransom for a player as limited as Lovren.
