I know mate it's hilarious. He was expecting Geads to "river dance" all over Scotland and it never happened, wee Naisy bossed it and its put him in a foul mood........splendid.
Wee Naisy the Tartan superstar.

No wonder the Scots have been **** at football since about the 1970s.

You'd start Atsu in a premier league game? I like the lad but he wasn't strong enough to make an impact as a sub against an already beaten Lille side. He didn't get a pre-season and is new to the league so hopefully he will settle in time but at the moment think he'd have got bullied in both of those games.

The thing is an average atsu would be just as effective as barkley out on the wing the lads essentially a fish out of water out there. Atleast having atsu there would have barkley in his best position at CAM and as a result the partnership of ross and Rom that we saw last season could kick on again.

Martinez is stopping any form of a routine or settled side atm injuries are bad but he's the first to bang on with how we have the squad to cope so he should play players in their natural position

I agree that Barkley is better as a CAM but even out wide think he is better option than Atsu at the moment as at least he doesn't get pushed off the ball. Also thought he had a better game versus Sunderland than he did in his first attempt there.

I'd play Naimsith out wide myself but each to his own.

The question isn't whether Barkley is best out wide but what is better.

Naismith CAM and Barkley LW
Barkley CAM and Naismith LW
Barkley CAM and Atsu LW

Given those choices you can understand the logic of the first but personally I would play the 3rd. Atsu needs to be given a chance to prove himself especially against the weaker teams.

But the English have had unique opportunity to witness the footballing titans of the likes of Heskey, Hatley, Bull, Lambert...since the 60's

People in glasshouses etc etc etc :)
I'm no fan of England, but to compare their players and teams with Scotland is bizarre.

Dont get me wrong, they used to be good at football and still cough the odd one up now and again. But they're hopelss now and have been for decades. Let's face it, it's only Celtic's European efforts that saves them from the same status as Zambia.

So Dave rates McGeady and not Naismith.

Blatant sectarianism.

It cant be sectarianism. Naismith has no sect to go to. He burnt his bridges with Rangers, and the rest of Scotland hate him for playing for them in the first place.

He's on his todd. No sectarianism for Naismith. Albinoism, possibly.

  1. Sectarianism, according to one definition, is bigotry, discrimination, or hatred arising from attaching importance to perceived differences between subdivisions within a group, such as between different denominations of a religion, class, regional or factions of a political movement.
