Barmby. Was not happy when we signed him. The perfect modern day mercenary.
Obviously players like Rooney, Arteta, Lescott, any talented player who left whilst being integral, though as i have got older, i realise how the club is a business and players have a price.

My most hated player ever is Ian Rush. Ruined my childhood that ****!

He sold him to Barca, because he thought he was going to get the Managers job there.

aha - never realised that possibility! Howard talks about that in his book. There was talk of Venables being sacked at Barca and Howard replacing him, which he fancied because the European ban for English clubs had just come in.

Definitely Barmby. Even more hateful when you realise he played more games for Everton than Spurs, Boro, RS or Leeds. And typically even though he only played a handful of games across the park, only scoring 2 league goals - obviously one against us and the little turd even managed to win 3 trophies in 2 yrs there. Sickening.

Next up Dan Gosling. Verbal contract offer on the table while we're paying his medical bills, and he up sticks to Newcastle on a bloody free! We should have got at least 5m for him. Well that worked out for you then Dan eh? Don't think he's even racked up 100 senior appearances yet. That goal can't save you now...

Does Phil Neville qualify - even if I hated him from the day he signed.
Long throws that werent long, hiding from play, pointing, beautiful technique on cross-field passes to no-one or to row Z, disgraceful comments about Man U/wanting to miss penalty/Moyes to Man U/7th is like winning the league whilst he was captain, and just being an all-round horrible man. On MOTD now I still cringe that he wore our shirt. Had ability on par with Brett Angel and Claus Thomsen. Worst captain in our history. FACT.

While I didnt rate him he did a job for Everton and was Moyes' captain.
He was a reasonable right back but a terrible midfielder
I certainly dont think he is an all-round horrible man, most people would say hes a decent bloke and kind and giving of his time to may causes
He was always a ManU fan and while he plied his trade for us he never shirked or hid.
He was a big signing for us when he arrived and we got some good years out of him when we were a mid table club
We moved on and his display versus Wigan in the FA cup QF was many bridges too far and the end of it

He was no Judas like Barmby was so I forgive him his lack of talent as a midfielder :)
