I'd agree with this. When you're severely depressed, the slightest thing can set you off. Things that you'd normally brush aside can really get to you. I know I've had bad days where Everton losing has got to me more than it should. He was probably in a really bad way to begin with and Liverpool losing just pushed him over the edge.

On another note, what is their mascot supposed to be? Is it a lobster?

It's a bit of an irresponsible piece tbh. The fella clearly had mental health issues quite a long time before this and the paper has tried to milk every LFC link it can possibly find. I'm not even sure as to what reason the Echo would do that. It doesn't put Liverpool fans in a good light particularly, it doesn't make the paper look good and the end of the day, a person has killed themselves still. Odd article.

Maybe. Just don't understand how a LFC motivated suicide angle for the story comes from a Liverpool paper. Doesn't really make sense to me.
