Also, can someone explain those bloody half and half scarfs, why????
Well It has me puzzled , just couldn't imagine an Evertonian wearing one, but the whole spectacle outside and inside the pit is like one big tourist attraction, just glad we are different .

"We didn't get what we deserved. It was very clear that we were much the better side today."

This underlines for me why Gnashers hasn't got a clue and is a phony on the cusp of being exposed.

Martinez set him a trap and he walked right onto it. Reduced them to pretty much shots outside the box and corners and free kicks as we outfought them in the middle with Besic, Barry and McCarthy. The game plan to get the ball forward asap would have been carried out fully if Mirallas had stayed fit and Eto'o had been deployed instead of Naismith.

That no mark should consider himself lucky he wasn't on the receiving end of another 'Villa' instead of desperately spinning his own sides **** performance as 'domination'.

So when Martinez is managing Barcelona, will he be hitting those long balls up to Neymar, Messi or Suarez? Suarez is probably the best bet IMO.

Doesn't get more ironic than that.
I dont even really recall any long balls yesterday. I remember a little play in the first half that had literally every single player touch it, that was fun.

Aye, had our lads not given away needless setpieces outside our box, they would have had absolutely nothing. One of the upshots is that Stevie Me's free kick has seemingly induced a collective amnesia with regards to how terrible he has been all season, including yesterday. He's reaffirmed his starting position in the squad and that delights me.

Hilarious the way the RS crying arse, full nappies on RAWK are totally missing the point regarding yesterdays match. Ie....for all their multi million pound continental smorgasbord of new players, for all their psychological profiling a la FBI Academy at Quantico, for all their "Manager and Coach"'s rambling toe curling soundbites, for all their house demolishing, "spade in the ground" free executive suites.....they are worse than last season. Their talisman skipper looks as though hes cracking, predicted as from last end of season's debacle but also magnified because of the ego bashing hes now realised hes taken off his own supporters regarding losing his legs/past it. Pssst...Stevie, lad, they were saying it two years ago - theyre as fickle as. His post match interview was aimed at them as much as the press especially in view of the ear cupping after his goal. Yet "the bitters were cheating/dirty/ lucky". Reality is never their strongpoint. In fact, its their total rose-tinted lack of it that is. The Yanks will be back over soon checking over their real estate and brand. I can hear Rodgers teeth veneers rattling already.

When we do it it's hoofing long ball Shiite. When Gerrard does it it's gorgeous pin point diagonals and he gets man of the match for them.

I noticed that Gerrard got a yellow card for the ear-cupping gesture. He ran towards the corner of the Anfield Road end where Liverpool supporters were and shouted obscenities. Very odd and would have been highlighted by the media had any other player did this to his own supporters AT ANY OTHER CLUB. Noticeable that MOTD did not show either of the cards for the RS, but showed Barry's. What was the second one for?

Just wondering, had to miss match yday just as it Was about to begin. But did Gerrard have a good game or is all the [Poor language removed] after the match an all over BBC about him proving people wrong, because he scored a free kick??

I wonder if the blerts who are saying "Jagielka will never hit one like that again in his life" and "Any other time and that ends up in row Z" said the same thing after his worldies against Leeds and Middlesborough....

"smorgasbord"

you know I like that turn of phrase in relation to "them" don't ya?

it's Scandinavian in origin is it not?

Yeah....as Rodgers would say "aye it has a wee whiff of Norway, so it does"
Their RS smorgasbord is typical...looks exciting on first glance...then at best, it just has no taste no matter how much you swap the plates round
