ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Early days, not too arsed at the minute worrying about these winning the league when they lost Suarez and have two sides like Chelsea and City to get past.

I'm still laughing at their collapse last year.

Be careful Dave, you know what they say! He who laughs last laughs longest.

On the positive side they scored a soft penalty and a goal from an outrageous mistake, they were on top but with Suarez it would have been another 5 or 6 goals. Sturridge is already looking a much poorer player. Sterling's started well but he tends to starts seasons well before faltering.

They'll do well to finish top 4 imo.

They were second class against the big boys last season and City caned them the other night.

Suarez usually rolled up his sleeves against the likes of Stoke on a wet cold winter day...let's see if any of this lot fancy the graft of doing that.

Really though, who could be arsed worrying about them right now when last May was just a short time ago and the glorious memory of them crying their eyes out is still fresh. It destroyed them.

Continue to enjoy it.

Liverpool are so exciting to watch, it pains me to say it.

They're on a different level to us and will be for some time. And I was right about Sterling - he's far from overrated, sorry chaps.

Top 4 will be straightforward this season, the order not so much. Chelsea, Arsenal, City and Liverpool. Take your pick in the order of them 4.

This is just delusion, no offence mate. Who are going to be pip them to 4th then? Spurs? United? Everton?

What about Swansea though?

You are calling this with 35 games to go? That's bold.

did a dribble once the game was won and spurs had stopped, before that got a tap in, ran the ball out of play, got tackled, missed important passes and dived a lot. I'm waiting to be impressed

What about all the people in here saying they'll be "lucky to finish in top 4" then? Isn't that just as bad?

The harsh facts are that Liverpool have a very good first 11, more squad depth this time and a good manager. Plus last season they finished 2nd with a lesser squad. And for me, they play the most exciting football in the league along with Man City.

I am not going to pretend they are rubbish when they're not. They move the ball quickly, they are unpredictable up-top, they seem to be getting better defensively and they have a manager who has proved already that he's more than capable of managing at this level.

For me, Liverpool are better than 17 teams in the league. Chelsea and City only stronger.

Any of them, were only three games into the season you nutter, anything can happen

Yeah agreed with that. Also if he was as great as you're making out (to Rawk) then he'd have put the shot away. He's a poor man's Theo Walcott.

You're judging him on 1 game? Wow. I am judging him on the 20+ games I've seen him play. He's coming along leaps and bounds - he'll be one of the best players in the league for years to come. Quote this post.

he is decent enough, but he is just a decent player in good form, the way he is getting talked about its likes he's going to be up there with Figo, or become england's alexis sanchez, he's nowhere near that level
