Martinez has a lot to answer for there
Get a grip.

The defence has a lot to answer for. The marking throughout, the positioning was wank.

Having said that, fatigue did set in and the subs should of been made 10 mins earlier. It took until injury for baines to even get in the final 3rd.

Stones, Jagielka, Distin, McGeady, Naismith (yes they both scored, but general play) and Lukaku were all appalling.

Some have excuses, being played out of position, not fully fit, etc, but that's too many passengers.

Why not bring besic on for a knackered barry?

Why not bring atsu on to inject some much needed pace and push them back?

Absolutely furious with Martinez complete moyes bottle job and as usual it took their equaliser for the lazy gets to go for the 3rd goal absolute joke. Distin needs replacing by a younger defender and we need a backup striker for lukaku to change things around.

I pray barkley isn't out long

Ah well.

Good little pipe-opener before the season really gets moving.

No idea why our best pre-season player stayed on the bench and an unfit Coleman was risked.

Have no idea why he persists with 3-5-2 as it just doesn't work well

Look at it like this. We will take 4 pts from Leicester this season.

Looking back we were bricking it about playing a team that was freshly promoted and full of confidence anyway. So away from home we did alright. Most of us lets be honest would have taken a point at kick off.

It was the lack of a fully fit team that cost us today. (TBH a change should have been made earlier than pienaar, and pienaar shouldn't have been taken off).

Let's be honest here, next 2 weeks are gonna be a lot worse than today.

edit: when I say worse I don't necessarily mean results wise. The next two weeks are massive, 2 big fixtures in a row like that is a lot of pressure early on. Thank [Poor language removed] they're at Goodison

your kidding yourself if you think we set out standards that low

Howard was better than a five, and Distin was better than a three. Stones demonstrated a lack of positional awareness and Jags was mostly anonymous. McGeady had the classic game of two halves, ace in the first and invisible in the second. Lukaku was better than the 4.5 you've given him.

Surprised we didn't see Besic or Atsu, the second half was crying out for them.

He wasn't

No Coleman,Kev,Barkley and a half fit Lukaku cost us to day

Add the whole side looking goosed after 50 mins

I thought that. They looked shattered and were obviously thinking, lets do as little as we can this half offensively and keep the score the same. The manner in which we approached that second half was the most disappointing thing. Echoes of West Brom away last season where we took the lead then totally lost interest.

Baines looked like getting back to his best though which was pleasing.

when did we play 3-5-2 in that match? think coleman just played RM which was odd. if it was 3-5-2 then he was nowhere to be seen in the RWB position for the equalizer
