“We proved last season that we can handle the pressure of a title run-in. I know people will point to the Chelsea and Crystal Palace games, but they should look, instead, at our last 14 games'.

Great isn't it? They proved they could handle a run in...except the last three crucial games when the title was won.

But they lost it. PUT DOWN THE ECHO DAVE

The man is a living legend you fool,he's won the Xmas league,Easter league, the people's favourite league, the moral victory of the oil barons league, the Easter bunny arriving league, and the minus 2 games league and is currently second only to some Spanish fella in the wearing Brown shoes championship you don't know genius when you see it Davek

You're right.

They dont even need to put Liverpool on it. A blank wreath would of been enough.

They're stupid if they don't realise that people can see they're using tragedy as a marketing tool.

Any sort of tragedy.

Which is sick really.

Really in poor taste.

And all of it can be traced back to JFT96, their main promotional tool. Very upsetting.

This Saturday there should be a charity shield warm up match between the RU of the FA Cup, Hull, and the Easter Champions, Liverpool.

It's a tremendous achievement - only buckling under the pressure with a few weeks to go last season. Liverpool should be given the chance to lift a bit of silverware for their efforts.

Exactly. The Rodgerspin knows no boundaries as the truth never gets in the way of a soundbite for the gullible cult members to lap up and churn into a banner.
Brendan.... The Pressure F**ker

Oh good...more toe curling.....Rodgers showboating again in the red tops today. Shameless self promotion with a picture larger than the text and a plastic, insincere smirk eerily reminiscent of Al Pacino in "The Devil's Advocate". All the usual blowbag talk...end of 25 years of title torture "If it doesn't happen this year, it will happen soon"...and the biggest con of all..."We proved last season that we can handle the pressure of a title run-in". But you didn't, did you.

haha that's almost as good as them trying to convince the media they're challenging on a shoestring.

If Brent's idea of handling the pressure is losing at home to Chelsea reserves and then blowing a 3-0 lead at Palace then let's see how he does coping with European football like the rest of the so called big teams.

More from the article Jacob quoted on the previous page:

"We proved last season that we can handle the pressure of a title run-in. I know people will point to the Chelsea and Crystal Palace games, but they should look instead at our last 14 games.

"Twelve wins, one draw, one defeat. That kind of form usually wins you the title. So I know we can cope with the pressure. What we didn't get was that wee bit of luck you need along the way.

"We just didn't get the breaks when we needed them most, but I believe that we will be back up there, challenging, and Liverpool Football Club is a very exciting place to be at this current time. Last season was a great step forward and now we must believe that we can go one better.

Yeah, they didn't get any lucky breaks in their game vs Man City AT ALL, let alone any of the others did they? Still boggles the mind that Sewerat wasn't sent off in that game, never mind in all the time he was sniding his way through the Premier League.

Still, here's to them "handling" any other pressures which come their way this season just as assuredly.

Whys that? Because I don't make obscene comments about them constantly?

Like I say no offence meant, although Origi is never going to be a great player, Sturridge is never a 25 goal a season forward without the rat and Rodgers is a weak manager.

Just sayin'.

BTs love for them is actually churning my stomach right now, absolute mongtard shouts firing out left, right and centre.

Absolute beaut of a shout was:

"Jurgen Klopp looked awestruck as he walked out, he'll have known about the history of Anfield."
