Christian Atsu

Mcgeady isn't good enough to be a starter IMO, would hope its Atsu on the left and Mirallas on the right I love pienaar but he hasn't the pace needed imo for a winger anymore would be much better coming of the bench/used in the Europa league games.

Mcgeady plays best in the hole, or thereabouts IMO...which is okay when they tuck inside...

I think Geads will get plenty of game time - He can play anywhere across the 3 and out of the subs of Pienaar, Osman, McGeady and Naismith I would have him on before any of them.

(* Sorry Naismith I know it's wrong but I just can't bring myself to think you're any good *)

Ive gotten around to watching the customary youtube clips.

He seems to be very direct with electric pace and has a strong shot on him. More tricky than powerful so not really a mini-kancho but he looks very very good indeed.

If he comes on loan and performs and we can sign him for 6.5 mil at the end of the season that would be incredible business and add in another international player with a decade ahead of him.

Even if we bring in Atsu, I dont think he will be starting many games. Like Del, I think he would be used as an impact sub in the most part.
I think McGeady will get much more playing time this season. From preseason I think he has looked fairly sharp and has been consistently beating his man and dropping some delicious balls into the 6 yard area. This will be very useful now we have Big Rom as a target.

Not hate I just think we can do better for a starter. Ask yourself this. Could you see him being a starter for any of the teams who finished in the top 4 last season.
Why don't we let the lad get settled into this league first and let him get on with it. His first pre season with the club and going into a new season. Lets have an opinion on him at the end of the season coming up.....

Just heard Darren Lewis on Talksport, said he had loads of interest after the world cup, wanted to go somewhere where he was guaranteed to play, so must be considered immediate first XI.

Andy Jacobs didn't see the logic in Chelsea keep making Everton stronger, wondered why Chelsea happy to let him go to a team who should be one of the 7 teams fighting for the top 4 spots. Some recognition off a journo for once!

Del was competing with Mirallas. Atsu will probably be competing with Pienaar/McGeady as we don't really play with inverted wingers.

But Del played loads last season. He started 9 times and McGeady will play even more this season.
