Question for the Americans

Why the three stars?
Have I missed you winning the World Cup 3 times?
hrm. seems Landon is struggling with fitness issues.
Maybe our manager knew what he was talking about. If he struggled going 30 off the bench against the Carolina Railhawks, I don't think he would have been the answer for a missing Jozy.

My problem with him wasn't not starting, its that he provided something different to the side and could have been an excellent sub. He could have done a job for 30-45 min if needed and which the goalscorers/forwards dropping like flies we could have used him.

And if he was struggling going against a NASL squad, I question how useful he would be in the jungle against the teams we were facing. Was there any match in which we had a sub to spare? Having to replace him (or have him replace an attacking player) would have left us one less sub on the defensive end.

What?
while looking for an answer, stumbled on a post with a listof other countries with stars incorporated into logos, including gold stars. There's a 7 page thread on it. All sorts of theories, from just our "Stars & Stripes" to the three representing youth, adult, and pro football.

But why do USA have 3?
50 wouldn't fit.
