He's a good player, but he's not the best in the squad nor is he irreplaceable. I would love to see him put his injury problems behind him once and for all because when he is fit and on song, he can have a significant influence on a game. Depending on the progress of the likes of Ledson and Lundstram, I would imagine Gibson will have this season to prove he can be relied upon to play at least 30 games for us, but the signing of McCarthy has made him less important so I would imagine he's already been told that it's up to him to prove he can be part of the squad.

I'd rather he could get over his injury problems and stay. When fit he's a good player, injuries can strike any time and some players suffer more than others. Does not mean he can't have an extended period where he is injury free.

cracking player when on song,, can pick a pass through the eye of a needle! tho that needle has spent most its time in his leg recently, i think its actually claiming squatters rights now its been there so long!!
