Finding it hard to pick an option tbh. I understand how important 4th would be, however I so want a trophy. It's overdue.

And another European trophy would do just nicely. But then there's 4th place too. Aargh.

What about 4th and a cup?

But winning the Europa gets us In the CL. I cannot see a better option, as other than Spurs none of the sides across Europe should have our spending power, and we have a manager who I feel will excel in europe, unlike Moyes who really should have won it in 08.

Sorry mate but that its totaly deluded, at best if we were to win a trophy i think we could get 6th, our squad has already took a hit, at no financial gain, and we will have to use the majority of the kitty just to get back to where we were at the end of the season, everytime we had a glut of games last season the squad got hammered with injuries and that was with out the EL. No chance of 3rd, an thats not critiscing anyone around the squad or managment, i just dont think it is possible for everton to finish above 2 of Liverpool, Arseanl and UTD in the same season, if we finish above 1 of them it will be another very decent season.

Dortmund won the league with a squad that cost less than 45 million Euros. Atletico won the league on a wage budget smaller than Fulham's and a squad that cost less than QPR's.

Martinez doesn't think about things the way you do, and nor should you. Pound coins don't play football.

A Europa league win would kill both 'birds' with one stone, mate.

Whilst I would love for us to win the EL, given the teams in the competition, I don't think it's realistic:

Sevilla, Fiorentina, Dynamo Kiev, Wolfsburg (defos in the Group Stages)

Still to qualify and thus be possible opponents:

Villareal, Spurs, Borussia Moenchengladbach, Inter Milan, FC Twente, Lyon, PSV, Torino, Real Sociedad, Dynamo Moscow ...

And of course, Hull.

And this is before the CL drop outs.

Europa League please.

A trophy, raises our european football, gives fans some awesome days out and gets us into the CL.

As well as winning the league, like.

whilst both getting to the CL final we must add.

None of them frighten me.

Last season we beat Chelsea, United, Arsenal at home. All three of those sides are regular last 16 CL teams and one of them nearly reached the CL final this year. We're good enough to beat any team at home and going away and winning matches is massively dependent on team mentality, which Martinez has control of. None of the teams you mentioned should scare us, we should respect them but be fully confident in our ability to beat them.

Europa league definitely got to be a priority. Personally I think and I'm sure many agree that we aren't strong enough to push in this and push for top 4 so I think the aim should be to win the Europa.
Its killing two birds with one stone really, ending the trophy drought and getting Champions league.
Got to be going for at least top 7 in the league as well.

Fiorentina, Spurs and Inter are the only major threats I see on that list, we're one of the best teams in this competition. And as such should at least be looking to get to the QF.
