The season wasn't completely trophy free, though. Lest we forget, they did win the World Series.

Love the new gerrard chant, hope this takes off next season.
But even the RS version of the song, sounds like the new version. Its wonderful. Because the newer version is all you hear now, when the kop are throwing it out, your mind tricks you into hearing only the newest version.

Its brilliant. Ha ha they will never sing it again

Gerrard
Captain Steven Gerrard believes runners-up Liverpool will win the Premier League title before he retires.
The Reds challenged until the final day of this season but, despite a 2-1 win over Newcastle, finished two points behind champions Manchester City.
"This experience is going to take us to the title," Gerrard, 33, told LFC TV. "Whether it is next year or the year after, it will happen pretty soon.
"I've only got a couple of years left but I still believe I can get there."

man utd vs everton, 75,000 packed inside OT every single person singing it about england's captain haha, would be brilliant. he's going to have a mare of a world cup i think. will take his frustration out on some poor costa rican as well with a horror challenge, that's the cowardly thing he tends to do.

haha next year is our year! every single year they say it.

Awful day for Gerrard, he got home hoping for sympathy from his missus only to discover she was covered in pancake mix.
Her and the kids pissed off on holiday apparently. even that shows you the mentality of your club captain. A chance to win the pot, final game of the season and your wife and kids do one the day before to go on holiday.

Funnily enough I didn't see brenda with his wife either

Dear me.

25 years...it'll be 35 before they get another shot like this season.

Chelsea will come on 10 fold next year. City will also really sure up their defence. Man U will come roaring back. Arsenal will not have the same list of injuries and surely a new striker. We'll be a year on from what we were. And Tottenham, well, they can't be as limp again next year.

It's the renewed belief that really might ruin him. I already have Liverpool down as long off 4th favourites next season and that's assuming Man U are in the midst of a transition and won't compete. This really was their year, and thanks to their model pro of a captain, they slipped up.

Hard to pick which indignity I've enjoyed the most over the past couple of weeks. Stevie's slip, Suarez bawling like a 13year old girl when Take That split up or the fact that ultimately a lot of them genuinely felt that Downing and Carroll would win the League for them today. Beautiful.

Absolutely this. Relying on "Big Andy", a player who is as much use as a chocolate fireguard

Utd,City,Arsenal and Chelsea will all finish above them next season

Really think Suarez will bolt in the summer and they will drop like a stone without his 40 goal contribution
