Sure we could of got Remy for 10M in the summer from QPR. That would of been a much better option than Kone.

Absolutely. The most worrying thing is that Kone is now 30 and has no resell value. Strikers tend to lose pace when they reach 30. I hope he can contribute massively in the next two seasons and prove he worths the money Martinez has paid for him.

I think given his time again Roberto wouldn't sign kone. I can see why he did tho at the time. Lukaku prob wasn't on the cards, Vic and jela he knew were not suitable for his needs, so kone was someone he knew could play the role.
No doubt the injury has made it a much worse signing. Think he would of played a very usefull part over the course of the season.

Kone was signed simply because Roberto had no money and the most cost effective striker he could sign with the money made available was him. People critisise him but they forget he got like 15 goals last season for a relagation team and perhaps those 15 goals for us this year would have us matching the kopites blow for blow.
Who knows, but lovely that the irk of critisism is aimed at one of the players who hasnt played all year!

Chris he got 13 goals for Wigan doesn't mean he would score the same even he is playing now. Of course all of the fans will want him playing rather than getting injured.

He scored 13 goals in a terrible team. More importantly he scored them playing the game that we are playing now. Therefore it is not implausible to think that he would have scored a similar amount for us this season.

Cardiff are meant to have a decent midfielder as well. Can't remember his name at the minute but was having good things said about him in the summer. Wonder if he is still worth signing?
