I'd vote for Farage over any other leader of a party. I respect the fact he never tries to be all things to all men. All the others seem sooooo desperate to have mass appeal they've long forgotten their ideals, assuming they ever had any?

Remember this classic from Godfrey Bloom?

Godfrey Bloom on 'bongo bongo land' and UK foreign aid7 August 2013 Last updated at 08:23 BST
MEP Godfrey Bloom told the Today programme that "when a country has a trillion pounds of debt" he would prefer taxpayers' money to "stay at home".
The comment came after the UKIP politician was captured on film saying British aid should not be sent to "bongo bongo land".
"[Most people] would agree with me," he insisted.
UKIP has said his comments were being "discussed right at the very highest level of the party".
He told presenter James Naughtie that he would say "righto, sorry" if UKIP asked him to mind his language, and that he would write to the ambassador of "bongo bongo land and apologise to him personally".
"It's not for the likes of David Cameron to pick out pockets," he said.
In the film, obtained by the Guardian, he also claimed British aid was spent on fighter planes in Pakistan, which he called "treason" by the UK government.
Mr Bloom, MEP for Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire, subsequently told the paper: "I don't do political correctness."
At the meeting of supporters, Godfrey Bloom was recorded telling a meeting of supporters aid was spent on things like sunglasses and Ferraris.
First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today programme on Wednesday 7 August 2013.

In the words of the Bullingdon club bully "I mildly sandpapered"

Farage is the only one who will answer a question posed to him when debating, the other politicians will do everything to avoid answering a question.

He was on Question Time a couple of months ago with Ken Clarke; the question was asked about reforming the tax brackets. Clarke just spouted the usual 'i'll speak with avoiding the questio until someone tells me to shut up', credit due to Farage he answered the question straight up. Other politicians could do with taking a leaf out of his book when debating.

The problem with UKIP is that they have the old Tory peers (like Bloom) or are so right wing its scary, it drags a lot of what Farage does down in the gutter. They are to much with scare mongering of the average Dailoy Mail reader and its annoying, because some of the policies that Farage wants to implement are quite good.

The country does have a problem with immigration, its not the fact (as UKIP believe it to be) that all these foreigners are coming over and taking our jobs, its do with the strain its putting on our basic, fundamental front line services. LA's are cutting their budgets like mad, the NHS are, the police are; these services cannot cope.

Michael Give wants to improve state schools; how can this improve when they are overcrowded and yet they need to accept more students
Its almost impossible to get an appointment to see your GP these days, what do people do?? Straight to A&E, another bed taken up

This country was built on immigrants, but we are in a place were we need to steady the ship first.

Well thats my view anyway.

The free movement of people throughout Europe is (imo) far and away the best thing about the EU.

Depends on the people moving about. Cannot see the point when some one comes here to work in a car wash for example. Then there seems to be many undesirables who come to milk the system you have paid for not to mention there are a few thousand criminals locked up.

On the other side there are many intelligent, well qualified persons who we certainly need, but do we need Russian, Chinese etc oligarchs.

Bruce it is all about balance and a free for all is not what we need. Why for example do the Romanians and Bulgarians travel through all the other rich Euro countries to get here. Why is the UK more attractive than Germany, Netherlands and France?

Who is to say what we need or don't need? The only people that really need to be concerned are the people moving here, and the people hiring them. It's not really anyone elses business.

If people can claim benefits in a way we find undesirable, change the way people can claim benefits.

I have no idea what the situation is like in the teaching profession, but a vast number of NHS staff are immigrants. Don't you think they're helping the supply of public services more than hurting them?

Is that not what the current administration is trying to do, well at least part of it but held back by the Lib Dems.

You're going to need to back that up.

And should rich countries stick together and sod the poor ones?

You're saying you'll vote for him because he has ideals. You didn't say you agree with them, you'd just vote for him because he has them?
He still has ideals because he is unable to change or think through policies and realise that the world changes around him so his ideas have to
