its a loan, he wont be leaving for less wages. His contract will be paid regardless of who pays it. i dont know what the holdup is. If Fulham are trying to get him to take less, wouldnt that be between the clubs and have sweet FA to do with him?

They were trying to take over his remaining contract, not a loan...

I find it very difficult to believe that Fourth Official and the like have found out that we are in for Suarez, latest talk is of a 10mill bid, and yet sky sports with all their sources haven't had a sniff.

Be nice if we at least got in another loan but I suspect 11 will come and go with nothing but (maybe) JH out. On the bright side I really like Geads ... he has a classy touch and leads players into space better than most. Never saw him in Russia or Scotland (only so many hours in the day and Scottish/Russian football isn't sponge-worthy) but I am pretty happy with him. Obviously not happy it's *just* him (plus the loan I know).

I think we now have a slightly better starting 11 than Jan 1 (once everyone is fit) but a weaker squad now (thanks to sales/injuries).

We had like 3-4 months of positivity in the middle of a lifetime (for many of us) of negativity. Hopefully the RS game was a blip but you can see how easily we tend to slip back into our patterns at the slightest chance.

ah, i thought i read it as a loan until the end fo the season. Even if they were trying to take over his remaining contract, wouldnt that essentially be a loan? Similar to what this club did with Drenthe, we took over payment of his contract in the last 6 months. I thought that it just transfers ownership of the contract from one club to another but the wages/terms/etc would still be valid? and when the term ended he is still a FA?
