He's looked decent when I've seen him. We just have a very strong squad now and there's not enough room for every player to be on the bench. In the rare circumstance baines gets injured we have distin who can play there with 2 centre backs on the bench to cover, or Barry can play there like the other day.

Hope he gets a chance now.

He wasn't amazing, but he worked hard and put the odd nice cross in. He works better in midfield I think
