Kone has not played enough for Everton to make any sort of informed judgement -
we are all speculating about his ability to fit into the Everton game plan -
I think he is a better all round player than Jelavic or Anichebe and that is why Martinez bought him -
Lukaku was not on the scene yet.
Kone scored one less goal than Roony and the same number as Sturridge, Tevez, Defoe, Fletcher, and a few others without penalties in it and playing in 33 games - in the same league -
to call that gash is gash -
So far Martinez has not signed a dud - Kone is the anti-Martinez mob's 2nd last hope - Alcaraz will be their last-
I hope and believe that Kone will prove them wrong once he gets a proper chance -
Jelavic has had about 40 chances (full Pl games without scoring) - Kone not a single one with Everton

Its the same ones who wanted Fellaini offloaded for half price a few months after buying him. You'd have thought they would have learned.

It actually seems that the people who had seen fellaini play before he signed (including myself) have seen kone play as well before he signed...

Thus forming an opinion that one was going to become very good and another very bad.

A little credit were credit is due to Martinez maybe, He knows him, He's seen him play more than anybody, and he thought that much of him to bring him along, then the pope threw that there ramadamadingdong thing in to mess him up ( the old pope, the proper pope, the polish one would never've done that). He looked ok giving Johnny H a beasting last season...Wait.

I can't believe anyone could Have an opinion on kone yet? He's literally not played any football yet! 1 cup game, 1 friendly and some minor minutes off the bench. If you look at his time for Wigan in the PL last season, that shows more than enough that he's adaquete of being a backup striker at our club.

He'll be fine, the struggle, may be getting enough time on the pitch to get match sharp with that beast Lakaku occupying the role.

He was (IMO) never signed to be our No.1 striker, he was signed to replace jelavic or Anichebe or probably both as the back up striker who knows how RM plays.

61 minutes compared to at least 20-25 games of nothing from Jelavic and the Croat still gets preferential treatment on here?

This place is a melt-fest whenever we lose, and unfortunately there isn't many more annoying things in the world than a f*cking scouser with an agenda, ugh.

people who are writing him off already are really coming across as clueless idiots.

We're going to look like geniuses in 3 years when you lot are wondering why the [Poor language removed] we spent £5m on him and hoping it's possible to get £1m back for him from Leicester or somesuch.
