"just over 30k in for the Fulham game, Moyes needs to sort it out"

Try we played at 12:45pm, and it was against Fulham, the fans that ask each other whether they travel by car or minibus.

We played Bolton on the wednesday 3 days before the Fulham fixture.

Then some cry that for the Boro game we only got just over 30k in again.

It was Boro, like the Fulham game we were live on TV again, and like Fulham - Boro dont travel in anything over 100.

Its November, and women everywhere are harassing their husbands/boyfriends about christmas.

The country is in recession and everyone everywhere is experiencing some squeeky-bum-syndrome when thinking about the gas and electric bills that are on menu.

The Merseyside millionaires we are no longer.

Credit crunch 30%
Christmas 15%
[Poor language removed] kick-off times 15%
Poor away fans 20%
Shitness of play 20%

If we break it down these are the factors that make up the crap attendances, Davek would be proud of me.

tbh, for the fan who waits for general sale and then goes on the stadium plan to find a seat, what you see available doesnt exactly encourage you to part with your cash. when games are on tv then it's hard to attract the ones who cant afford every game.

when they are going to go then "obstructed views" for £30 upwards are not what they want, i took the little lad on sunday, went in st. to keep down the cost £47 for the two of us, now since the start of the season i have always looked for a "seat with a view",i finally managed to get 2 together (he's 5 so no option) that were behind one of the entrances so it gave him a bit of leeway when everyone stood up and he could still see.
now searching different areas of the ground produced plenty of single seats but hardly any together so that would be another issue for anyone who was looking to go with a mate or a child. when you see swathes of obst. views on the plan at the back of the st then you just know that the view there can be terrible so i would say this is another contributing factor.

tbh i looked around the ground and, away support was dismal and scruffy, and the enpty seats in the home sections were in the majority obstructed, i would say there will be a few seats as well that are unobst. but single seats, that often go unsold.

Last Sat 3pm game Aug 30, next one Jan 10. Damned near every home game has been on TV, so unless you have a season ticket there is every reason not to go, particularly as the seats available are not the best.

nonetheless, attractive & successful football does have a tendency to inspire people to attend more than otherwise, but i'm sure moyes isn't complacent in either respect - he'll want the team to win & to endeavour to do so by playing decent football & i'm sure he'd prefer full houses & a great atmosphere too.

[Poor language removed] kick off times plus the clubs we've been playing arent exactly big attractions. Theres a lot of old timers that have followed Everton sinse man crawled from under a rock and they'll be feeling the pinch more than most. We average 35/36k so we're not that far short of that figure tbh. Being on telly doesnt help much either. Bit worrying that it werent a full house for the Manure game when normally it would be plus we're not very good at home is keeping a few away. So many reasons why some are staying away. Lack of cash also.
