I havn't seen much of this lad play but I hope he brings the mobility our CM is crying out for.
I expect one more flirt with Wigan for Mcmanaman in the future.

McCarthy may well be a good signing, time and games will tell. He has age on his side. Disgraceful behaviour by Broken Leg but understandable in as much as getting all the money he can.

I think McCarthy will prove to be a good signing he's not fellani obviously but i dont think our new style suited fellani anyway in the anchor role. With gibbo or Barry holding McCarthy can be the playmaker, at 22 the lads only going to get better. With Osman, Barkley an Pienaar who can also play inside we now have plenty of options.

Going public over an openradio line from a Dublin club, could have put him close to be sued by Everton, so I still say disgraceful. However I did qualify that in the rest of the post.

Hamilton Accies are due 20% of any profit Wigan made on McCarthy. They sold him for £1.2m, which tripled their previous record transfer out. So that makes a massive £2.3m windfall for them!

For the 10101272727th time, we'll be paying a fraction of Bareth Garry's wages. £55K max.

We just offloaded our top earner as well.

Any shred of evidence to substantiate that? Just because earlier in the week the Echo and the Guardian both reported that City were refusing to budge and demanding we paid his entire £125k a week salary. The fact that we got him at the last minute, after Felli had gone, suggests that we caved in to their demands. They didn't NEED to do anything with him.

And Felli may have been our top earner, but Barry and Lukaku will both be on more than Anichebe, and McCarthy won't have come for much less than that either.

Last I heard was that we're paying Barry wages in full but not paying a loan fee.

I imagine it would balance itself in the end?

Or so a City fan told me.
