Howard

Woh there fella. I'm not picking Kasper just because of his dad. I'm picking him because he's an incredibly talented keeper. I watch a fair bit of Leicester as my mate is a fan and that's how I know this.

And you're not really using the fact he's 26 as an argument are you? Just to be clear, a 26 year old goalkeeper.

Fair enough. I don't watch Leicester so no I've never really seen him play. Just find it odd that a Prem team wouldn't have come in for him when he left City after his loan spells if they were any good. Why haven't anyone gone in for him yet? Just curious.

Good to see that because i am from the USA my opinion doesnt matter to most followed by the assumption that because clearly i cannot go to a game i am therefore knowledgeable.

After sorting that out I think I can finally rest easier know that the expectations are so low that on an evolutionary scale an American's soccer IQ is somewhere between a not so bright rock and a food processor.

__________

Get bent. Howard made some definite bone head plays (starfish) but i wish you realize he kept us in several games during our stretch of game where the defense resembled swiss cheese.
The Save vs Man City or how about that punch vs Stoke that led to mirallas goal for the winner?

no need to apologize for hating americans...I expect that from most of you. apologize for hating on Howard :)

Soccer = Football

Bonehead plays = Cock ups

Apart from that I have no issue wether you live in China or on the Moon...... but you can't deny that Howard should have held onto that shot for Chelseas first goal.

No reason for this to become a debate between Americans and everyone else. I'm sure several on here rate Guzan above Howard right now. Both are American. Most American fans would disagree, but that's probably based on performances for the national team rather than club performances. For club, Guzan had the better season. Several on here like Landon, and he's American. I just find it odd that people have turned on Howard so quickly given his overall record and the way he finished the second half of the season.

I know a lot about soccer.

There was an american who came to see the qpr game a few weeks back to watch howard and I got talking to him after the game.

And he asked me what everton fans though of Howard and I was like "Well, er, yes.

...

The crowd has very high expectations of keepers because of southall, like.

And he's been doing much better lately."

TBF, these same conversations were happening last season. His form, imo, hasn't been the same since the cup final year and there has always been a section of the crowd against him.

The fans turning is not as sudden as you make out.

Also that last line about hating Americans and expecting nothing less is absolutely bang out of order and you need to have a word with yourself Mr. Skeletoncrew.

There's always going to be some who don't rate a player. There are some on here that don't rate Fellaini. As a whole, I've seen more of a shift this year as opposed to others. I have faith in him maintaining his form.

Who comes to a match just to watch a keeper?

He was an american over in england on buisness and he decided to watch a PL game as he liked football and he picked everton-qpr because it was pretty cheap and there was an american playing in it.

You often get foreigners at goodison for similar reasons, I sit in front of a bunch of dutch heitinga fans and I've met germans and swedes come to games where one of their nation is playing just to experience a Pl game.
