CONFIRMED: Moyes Leaving - All Reaction Here

Let's face it he hasn't won a trophy in 10 years and whenever we play a really big game he worries more about losing than he thinks about winning. Even if a new manager comes in and we finish 14th and win a cup because they go for it more that would be an improvement in my eyes.

What about the far more likely scenario of finishing 14th and not winning a cup?

I really hope Moyes stays but I'm curious to know if United will have to pay us for Moyes or seeing that his contract is ending this season does he just go and we receive no compensation?

I wish more footballers would see out their contracts in order to move, rather than signing new multi-year deals with a huge pay increase that they then intend to break after a year.

The fact is, if our fans hadn't been so down on moyes, saying he couldn't get a bigger job and/or was only interested in more money and more of the same at goodison, the fact he's leaving wouldn't be such a shock to everybody - he is out of contract and been reasonbly honest and up front the whole time.

Also, I wouldn't rule out the club getting some compensation, Moyes' contract is until the end of june. The FA paid WBA money so Roy could start his work early.

Moyes has no need to be here after the last game of the season really.

If all this is true i would imagine Moyes and Everton have known for a while and if they have bids in for players regardless it may suggest promotion from within rather than a new manager coming in with players he doesn't particularly want.
Although i would prefer Moyes to stay my biggest worry would be Felli,Baines and i think he would try to take Jags too :(
Boyhood United fan too, Jags. Felli would go without a second's thought. Baines might stay.

We are scraping the barrel with some of these names.

look at their credentials. Poyet has taken Brighton up to the championship then the play offs, beating the likes of newcastle at home in the cup.

Rosler has transformed Brentford, his short stint at Molde was highly succesful at a struggling club, and he managed to force a draw out of Chelsea in the cup.

Yes i know cup games aren't the same, but I'm just putting the facts to you. Both teams have been transformed under their respective managers, similar to what Moyes did at Preston. Realistically I'd rather that type of manager come in than someone that has inherited a good squad and done alright with it.
