Daily Mirror: Moyes-eyside: Everton manager David drops huge hint he WILL sign new contract
"Everton boss David Moyes has given the clearest indication yet that he intends to sign a new contract at Goodison, writes the Sunday People.

Moyes has repeatedly said he would wait until the end of the season before deciding whether to agree a new deal after 11 years at the club.

But the Scot has assembled a hit-list of summer transfer targets for the Toffees – a clear hint that he is ready to stay on Merseyside.

Top of his wish-list is Manchester City’s former Everton defender Joleon Lescott, who is on his way out of the Etihad this summer.

Moyes is also keen on Wigan midfielder James McCarthy.

Heading out of the club is goal-scoring midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala are now favourites to sign the Belgian, who has a £24million release clause."

Daily Mail: Manager Moyes 'planning for the future' at Everton despite contract impasse
"Everton manager David Moyes has started planning for next season, even though no agreement has been reached with the club over a new contract.
Moyes has said he wanted to wait until the end of the campaign before deciding whether to extend his time at Goodison Park into a 12th year but, in the meantime, he is taking an active role in preparing pre-season and discussing transfer policy.

Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott is one possible target, with Moyes open to re-signing the England international four years after he left.
The news will buoy Everton fans who have become anxious about Moyes, the third longest-serving manager with one club in the Premier League, leaving.
Everton are still vulnerable if a big club in the Premier League or Bundesliga come in for him. But by throwing his energies into next season, he is indicating his future remains at Everton."

So basically he's hinting at signing a new contract by planning for next season, thoughts?
How are newspapers allowed to keep printing blatant lies repeatedly? There is no release clause.

Here we go... he's not going to Shalke.

According to information from SPORTS IMAGE PLUS Stefan Effenberg is a serious alternative to the current top coach Jens Keller at Schalke!

Even after the dismissal of Huub Stevens last December both sides negotiated a commitment as an interim solution until season's end. The plan was rejected on both sides. Now Effenberg shortly before his first opportunity as a head coach. The final decision on a replacement from Jens Keller, meanwhile, is however not yet been made. His mission is Schalke lead in the Champions League.

The Pesonen involved held on Sunday evening, as expected covered. "Of course, the goal is for me to work as a coach. A decision has been made in any way, "Effenberg said in the panel discussion" Sky 90 ". Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt was compared with "Sky" for the record: "It is an open question, it is not yet decided. It was always the case that we say nothing to speculation. "

Oh and am I the only person who doesn't want Lescott back, not because of the whole transfer thing but because he's 30.

Such is life. If we win on Sunday 5-0 I'll pretend I only ever said nice stuff about Moyes and keep smiling through to next season.

How mate?

People were saying that Moyes to Schalke wouldn't happen because of Moyes' lack of silverware (and European experience).
If the rumour mill is saying that Schalke's top prospect is another coach with lack of silverware and European experience then we can assume to a degree that those criteria do not matter to Schalke

Zee German press have said it, so it's not something we've made up.

In fact the biggest thing was that the British press made up the rumour about Moyes to Schalke rather than it coming from the German press

More than likely he's not even been considered rather than it being his credentials

I wouldn't mind Moyes staying if I knew he could do what he always says he's going to do and secure funds for team-building. But he wont, just as he hasn't in the past. He's a company man, safe in his position and hell sign up again with no assurances off the club that things will be any different than the previous 11 years. We all know that will happen.

There's going to be windmilling and crowing by some supporters who only see the good things about Moyes when he signs a new contract; there really wont be anything to celebrate though. It's a very respectable place we're at and will remain at under Moyes - and that'll do for many. But we wont move forward. Not one bit. This we also all know.
