If Kenwright lowered the asking price...

I don't think that kind of scaremongering is accurate -- even at a 25m asking price I don't think we have anything to fear.

I've ignored the rest of that waffle as with this line you've confirmed that you totally missed the entire bleeding point anyway.

I wasn't scaremongering, I'd love Kenwright to put the club up for £25M, as it'd attract plenty of interest & providing he had the ability to choose the right suitor, then happy days!

My point was that given the value of the intangible assets & the POSSIBILITY of the scenario I drew up making a mockery out of that kind of sale figure - the there's no way on God's green Earth, that they'd sell for that & I can fully understand why, as if it was my equity I wouldn't either.

So what your basically saying is that you want a fool who is willing to pay well over the odds for an asset. I'd be sure to remember that when we bid £39m for Jonny Evans.

I think what he means is that a serious buyer with the funds and business nous, ie billionaire, wouldn't quibble at that price.

Forgot about this thread. Let's see what hotting dog has to say ... I'm curious as I made a nice concession in my last post so hopefully he picked up on that and ...

I've ignored the rest of that waffle
Oh be nice.

Uh-oh!

I wasn't scaremongering
You outlined a scenario which could not reasonably occur in which a person would destroy our football club.

My point was that given the value of the intangible assets & the POSSIBILITY of the scenario I drew up making a mockery out of that kind of sale figure
Oh I see! If only I'd addressed the value of those assets and the viability of that possibility. My bad. Well I guess you win again. How do you put up with us and our stupidity?

I think quite the opposite is true.People don't make Billions by paying over the odds for potential money pits!

I'm not convinced we are even for sale, or that there is a "asking price". If you look at some of the football clubs that have been sold, over the years, most of the outgoing owners leave with very little and the new owners, just take over the debt of the football club.

If there is an asking price for the club it probably involves the £50m debt we have plus whatever debt is held "off the books" with Kenwright's friends like Philip Green

In your case I won't in future, as you're nothing more than a pedant imo. Welcome to ignore.
Oh Hot Dog. I asked you to be nice and look. I'm hurt.

A) Last time I ignored someone I didn't tell them as I didn't want to hurt their feelings.

FYI ignore does not exist so people can use it as a weapon; it's a way to filter out people that might make you argue too much or get too annoyed and insult people ... if you use ignore as a public insult you are kind of missing the point. Really reflects more poorly on you that you have to make a public point of putting people on ignore ... so maybe avoid that in the future and do it silently. Classy like. San Diego. Still we've all made those mistakes in the heat of battle and everyone gets a mulligan so no hard feelings.

B) Even if you did put me on ignore I bet you just clicked to read this post anyway because you wanted to see what I was saying to you. Don't feel bad (it does mean you lose though ... sorry).

I'll leave it there, thanks.
That was like two or three posts from you ago and yet you carried on -- kind of hard to take the high ground twice but kudos for trying.

Why doesn't Green invest his billions if he is such good mates with Bill? Not like hes going to be out of pocket if he did...

That type of person, Green, Kenwright etc doesn't have mates. They just swirl around in a social/business cesspit exploiting each other and everyone else for money. A nameless, anonymous ex prime minister extolled this behaviour.

You may as well ask why a bloke who spends £6m on a birthday party would desperately avoid tax , having the money doesn't mean he'd want to squander it .

In fact totally the opposite to investing I'd be more interested in his relationship with pini zahavi and the connections between those people and say the yak and billy transfers .

I do believe the club is for sale and the asking price is around 120m.... The issue is investors won't buy us... First the initial cost then having to finance a new stadium at 200m plus... Team investment at let's say 100m... Now your at the bones of 500m... Would you invest that money in a football club? There are not many people around that would IMO... There is 2 options IMO for the club.... We need a multi Billionaire who wants a play thing or the fans need to raise money to buy out the club... My personal preference would be for the fans to buy out the club...

So you think it's impossible for anyone to buy the club as it'd take £500m to make a difference (even though a number of other clubs have been bought ) but you want the fans to buy ? Being incredibly generous lets say 40,000 go the game but to be even fairer lets double it we'd still need £6,250 each to sort it , I don't fancy our chances to be honest .

Ye your talking that sort of money. Everyone knows we need a new stadium. To be able to compete for trophies and top 4 the squad will need a major investment. When I talk about fans buying the club I'm not talking just about those who attend matches. I am talking about all Everton fans worldwide. You don't need 6250 per fan either. You can do a share issue at a price that everyone can buy a share. Someone may want to buy 100000£ worth while someone else 500£. It would be more like a cooperative owning the club. I'm no expert but to me it is better than some yank buying the club hoping to make a quick buck but maybe end up bankrupt the club...
