We'd need to win our game in hand (away at Arsenal) and beat Spurs at White Hart Lane to draw level with them in fourth, since Chelsea will leapfrog them today and still have played a match fewer. Tottenham's goal difference is only three better than ours though. If we won 1-0 at the Emirates and 1-0 at Spurs our goal difference would be level too. We've scored 5 goals less than them.

It is a tall order but it's not impossible. If Fulham can win 1-0 at the Lane, why can't we?

c'mon lads you know that we will get to a must win game to qualify and we will bottle it. its the moyes way!! ffs

Beat stoke and then see from there. Its a good thing we have to play all our rivals just a shame they're all away. 6th or 7th

We'll finish sixth or seventh.

Seventh would just be dire. 6th is probable. All the negativity with the likes of Lawrenson and other pundits around us doesn't help the players belief. It's like they're hypnotised with "they ain't good enough, spurs too strong etc

The away games will seal our fate. The ****e will move above us after the derby. It's how we roll.

Spurs lost a game they should have walked, the fat spanish waiter is due another breakdown, you never know, not holding out much hope but less likely things have happened.

2 weeks time could be massive with us having a winnable home game (stoke) and all the other contenders having tough away games
spurs-swansea
arsenal- w brom
chelsea - southampton
rs-villa
saying that we will probably loose and everyone else win

Just been through Spurs and Arsenals forums... They are exactly the same as us. Negative talk.

The only difference is neither of them are talking about us as a threat.

Pretty decent guff though.

Anyway, people, myself included, are still licking their wounds after Wigan. If others want to dream ( unrealistically ) of 4th place then fair play to them. I'll be very happy if we finish 5th.

Spot on this. Being realistic is not the same as being negative.
