To be fair, after Mourinhos reaction last night and the fact he had his tongue firmly planted in SAF's arse all night, I reckon he'll be going there next, not Moyes.

Moyes is not going to Manyoo because he isn't good enough. I wish people would stop promoting this ridiculous theory. It is also a myth that Fergie and Moyes are good friends. They do business together, that is all. Fergies best mates in football are Sam Allardyce, Jim Smith, Alex McCleish, Peter Reid and Brian Robson(the only former Utd player he is 'friendly' with) In show business Fergies best mates are Mick Hucknall and Tony Christie. All the above based on my personal experience of SAF. He also likes western movies, especially John Wayne movies, and he told me that himself!.

I genuinely think that when the most succesful manager in the history of English football quits they'll see a manager who has never won a trophy nor even played in the champions league as his nailed on picture perfect replacement . The reality is who knows i suppose but I'd be absolutely staggered if moyes got that united job without a massive upturn in the quality of his CV.

Dont disagree with your post Steve ! big Sam & jim smith are I believe are his 'good ' friends but even with them or anyone else ferguson is 'all business' and he is just about as ruthless as they come. With the exception of in a footballing sense I don't think I've ever heard anybody say a good word him and that includes being in the company of at least one person on your list.

To be fair, there is a hell of alot of manyoo fans, which say to me that he will be their next manager. Dont see it myself.

Nailed on imo. When did Mourinho ever apologise for winning a game? It was the most transparent fawning around a future employer & their fanbase that you'll ever see.

I have felt for a while that Ferguson might spring a surprise & move upstairs this summer, & after last nigh,t that now feels even more likely.

Jose did seem like he crying out for them to offer him the job and with Pep going to Bayern, he's the only one i feel could realistically take over at Man Utd. Im the same with a previous post, theres a couple of Man Utd fans at Uni that i speak too and they want Moyes as there next manager, weird really.

Good stuff. Every time I meet a football manager I'm the same way where I just ask the three basic football manager questions: who are your best mates in football, who are you best mates in show business, and what kind of movies do you like?

Mourinho would love the Utd job ,but won't hang around forever.
In the close season it appears he is leaving Madrid and wants to return to the premiership.
There are really only three credible choices City,Utd or Chelsea.
I can't see him going back to Chelsea and if SAF doesn't stand aside then you coulds see Mourinho manager at City...the ultimate Utd nightmare.
