Fellaini

Good player, but I think he's been distracted for several months and his form has suffered. He hasn't made much of an effort with his public comments, which have often grated. If you've been an Evertonian for any length of time, you'll have experienced good players coming and going. Seen it all before, the tell tale signs are all there. We all know that if he is going, he's not going to come out and say it, but he could at least say no comment when asked and stop talking up other club's reported interest.

I think a few are trying to cushion the blow for when he does leave here...

strangely i have already accepted it in my little mind. luv him to the bits, though.

*i just wonder/hope that euro place would persuade him to stay

We aren't seeing the best of him this season due to him being out of position, hes that good of a player he can still dominate games from there, but I feel weve wasted him somewhat with what should be an occasional tactic becoming an unchangeable obsession. Also, despite people saying he doesn't look interested he still probably covers more ground than anyone in every match

His loss won't be as big a blow as losing Arteta was, he is half the player Arteta was before his injury. I'd even argue that Fellaini looks good when the rest of the team are playing well. It is Pienaar, Gibson, Osman and Baines (and Mirallas increasingly this season) that make us tick. If they're not in form, or not playing (like Pienaar's absence in the semi final, or the Leeds debacle earlier this year) then Fellaini doesn't have that much of an effect. Like Jelavic he is a player who needs the play to be made for him to have an impact, I think we'd be better off with a number 10 who is a playmaker to put alongside Pienaar and Mirallas, what a formidable attackin trio that would be then.

Agreed

£10m to Kenright/Green
£20m to spend

Which club are you expecting to pay 35million Euros for him?

Personally, I imagine that the bidding will start at about 18million GBP, and I see 25 million GBP being the absolute maximum that anyone will stretch to.

I hope I'm wrong, because I obviously want to get as much cash as possible, but anyone paying over 20million is getting had off IMO. I wouldn't be happy if Everton went out and spunked 25million on a player like Fellaini, especially when you can probably sign a player like Moutinho for a similar price.

We cant and wont be signing Moutinho.

We could have had him for 12m, but good old Bill wouldnt pony up.
