Team vs Oldham

Personally if Distin is to miss this through injury i would much rather have Duffy at centre back than Heitinga and i would also give Stones a go at right back over Nevs. I'd keep the rest of the team the same, your thoughts?

Heitinga will have an absolute nightmare if he's up against that big lad.

Even at full strength I'm not convinced we'll stroll this one. The team in general looks jaded at the moment.

Same. Maybe Jelavic for Anichebe.

Duffy for me, I'd stick with Neville though.

Strongest team as possible. Top 4 doesn't look likely at all at this point. FA Cup top priority from here please Moyles.

Wasn't Distin just ill? Surely he'll be fine if so. I'd probably play the same team as today or with Jelavic on from the start. I'm impartial between Jelavic and Victor.

Distin's problem was illness rather than injury wasn't it? Hopefully a week will give him enough time to recover and be back in the team. Would also give Stones a go, it's a good game to introduce him to the first team as it's the kind of team he's used to playing in the lower leagues, while also teaches Neville that performances like todays simply aren't good enough

...have to say that I thought it was an opportunity to give him 10 mins. Don't think he'll start Stones next week, however, as that could be an almighty gamble and whilst appreciating Neville wasn't at his best today he's the ideal type for a battle.

Whatever team we play I just hope we don't play Heitinga, as far as I'm concerned he's pretty much threw away any chance of playing for us again with his abysmal form plus even if he was on top form he'd still get bummed by their skyscraper up front. Other than that I wouldn't mind seeing Oviedo getting a game, he's fast,tricky and can get a good cross in.

We need to focus on cup with 4th pretty much out of reach. With so many players under performing what is our strongest team? Off of recent form I would definitely go with Anichebe, Baines, Felli, Jags. Everyone else really needs to step up their game.
