Can't really get on board with the Leahy option: nothing specifically treacherous about his actions, and he was always coming into the Kirby deal from a Tesco perspective.
Re. Kenwright: the evidence is more compelling. However, unless someone can provide evidence that he wouldn't be prepared to sell the club for an accurate valuation if a fit investor appeared he can only be considered generally inept. It's interesting that nobody can really provide that evidence. One or two people on the internet who have a little insider knowledge and make big accusations are, I'm afraid, not enough. Kenwright's apparent reliance on Green a few years ago seems badly thought out, but not necessarily any more than that.
Rooney. Sort of, but eighteen year-olds with a limited number of grey cells usually deserve a second chance. He's raising his son to be an Evertonian, which is a big deal when you think about it.
So it's Barmby for me, simply because the fans and staff maintained faith and support for him through initially indifferent form before he finally produced the best performances of his career. To force our hand with a year left on his deal and move to Liverpool was the antithesis of loyalty, making him pretty much the definition of a traitor.
