Do you genuinely think that in the last couple of minutes of a game, away at the league champions, that we should have brought Vellios or Barkley on ? I'm asking a 100% genuine question here, not on the wind up.

I think he thought he was going and next thing he's still here. i believe we tried to sell him & his own people were understandably looking for a move & when things like that don't come off it effects all parties .

Hadn't heard that ? It was obvious even in pre-season, that he wasn't into it.

Ive gotten the impression that we want to sell him due to the fact he wont sign a new contract, so we are looking to cash in on him while we can.
From what I heard that's not really true but it's based on the fact we had a 3rd party agent working to try and move him to fenerbache whilst the agents working to try and move yobo there didn't know anything about it. I'm not sure heitinga knew anything about the talks but I don't think we were doing it 'behind his back' if that makes sense ?
As i understand it i think there are a few factors at play but that's certainly one of them

Amazed we even tried to deal with Fenerbache again !
It was at the same time as yobo hence all the will he won't he go rubbish. Fene have got to take a lot of blame but I'd wonder if we where totally the innocent parties as a lot of people think we weren't.
No Vellios or Barkley should have come on in the last 15 minutes for Jelly as he looked tired & oh he is not scoring either! Victor was scoring more goals per game than jelly than him when fit!
He has had an illness so why play him 90 mins he was totally ineffective & he took the free kick off Baines near the end why???
