When Suarez "scored" at the end, before you knew it was offside...

Swore loudly and repeatedly. Didn't even laugh when I saw it offside which should have been hilarious. Merely slumped back down on the sofa, a broken (but relieved) man.

I was in a pub on Walton Lane; half in there were blue, half were red.

As you can imagine, the reaction when the last minute goal went in was loud. Red went crazy, blue went ballistic; my head just went into my hands, because I had a feeling it would happen. My exact words (to myself) before the FK was taken were "Please no, we don't deserve this again."

Amidst all the noise, no one noticed the flag go up on the screen. I looked up, devastated, just in time to see it. For a second I couldn't believe it, until I looked at the scorecard change from 3 to 2 for them. Jumped up out of my seat shouting "offside!!!"

When everyone realised what had happened, the tables turned. Blues went ape****, reds went ballistic.

It was a good day.

The exact reaction in our house:

We didn't think it was a foul in the first place, Gerrard bought it. The commentator says "If Liverpool score now, surely this will be the winner."

I got an image of McAllister lining up against Paul Gerrard. I put my head in my hands. Didn't even watch. I heard a groan of agony from my dad and a splutter of rage from my brother, looked up, saw Suarez running away celebrating...

I couldn't believe it. Could not believe it. It would have been the tipping point for me - I think I would have stopped watching football.

I looked across, my dad crunched half a can of Fosters in one hand and was about to launch it at the telly or the window, one of the two...

That's when the linesman holding his flag came on screen; all three of us yelped with relief and actually celebrated it. My brother then pointed out Baines was on the counter, but then it was all a blur, even when Distin nearly gave Suarez the win at the end.

Amazing stuff. Still haven't came down from it.

Sat in the Top Balcony, the second it went in I slumped down with my head in my hands,

then the bloke next to me shouted that it was given offside and I stood to see Gerrard and Jones running over to their supporters while we were on the counter attack,

How I wish we'd scored, that would have been beautiful.

Let's be honest, away from the Suarez stuff, it was a bloody boss game of football, really enjoyed it. Maybe enjoyed isn't the right word, but it was entertaining.

The first half was astonishing. One of the best derbies in modern times.

But today has made me determined about one thing - if anyone calls me or anyone else a Kopite on here ever again, they're getting reported. The ultimate insult on an Everton forum. I'd rather be called a c*** every day of the week.
